All Hail Megatron Discussion thread

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Yeah well you can just be an insert insult here.

It's late.

We don't know that. All we know is he's "different" and that can practically mean anything.
And hey look, Spotlight Drift offers an explaination! It's not too much of a stretch to assume that whenever/however they repaired Perceptor, they were unable to replicate the technical specifications or whatever that made him such a 'capable' repairman/scientist. So nyeh. ;)

Not too much of a stretch to assume they couldn't fix what made him a capable scientist? Sorry but that explanation makes no sense to me. It's not like being a capable scientist is a switch that can just be turned off, even for a Transformer. Perceptor pretty much is the Transformer embodiment of all scientists. Scientist is his primary function after all. Given all his prior knowledge and experience in the field, nothing short of having his entire memory core completely erased would explain him not being a scientist anymore to me.

Maybe it did. Would explain why he's suddenly a lot less chatty in AHM, and why he suddenly decided to become a sharpshooter.

Yeah....no. I just don't buy it. It looks to me like his skills are intact.

Well, just wait for Coda/possibly an upcoming Spotlight/the rest of AHM, then.

How do you figure? We haven't seen Perceptor do one BIT of scientist-ing in all of AHM.

Being a sharpshooter isn't exactly something you learn overnight either.

Why? These are questions that should have been covered in AHM instead of everyone just standing around doing nothing for 9 issues. And at this point, I'm not confident they'll ever adequately answer all the problems in this story.

They've got three months or so left in the main book and four issues of the other book. Give it time.
