I...understand the two words seperately, but still, I can't make head or tail of this statement.
It's the fact that their lyrical content is awful and has no real merit to it. It's the same reason Cannibal Corpse et al are bad, too.

Lyrical content is really important, clearly.
I realize the the video I put up a few posts back may completely invalidate any case I make about anything metal, but screw it, here goes.

Right, well, there's a point to what you're saying, sure. Tom Araya's never gonna replace, say, Morrisey or John Lennon in the list of great lyricists of all time, but I'd say what the man puts together fits beautifully with what he's playing. Besides which, when you've got a great thrashing number like "War Ensemble" or "Reign in Blood", what other kind of lyrics could such songs possibly have other than loud, brutal, and direct? Also, unlike Cannibal Corpse, you can understand what Araya's saying some of the time, plus one Slayer song sounds different than another. EDIT: I no sleep much, so I can't tell if I'm being all flaming douche here. Hope not, anyhow!

Plus, Dave Lombardo is the greatest drummer of all time. That is not opinion, that is science.

I... I don't know what to say. Wow, that is amazing.
Isn't it? My brain fell right out of my skull. And then I found the Korean version, which is even crazier! Well, it's got a better video, anyhow.

Dave Lombardo IS a fantastic drummer. But I've come to appreciate different kinds of drumming recently, so I'd say he's not as good as, say, Bloc Party's (you guys got them yet?), but. He is a good'un.

Plus, any band Puffy has drummed for has gotta be a winner.

Christ, stupid addictive song combining with my stupid addictive personality equals real trouble...

And right at the moment, I'm listening to "Python Patrol" by the Killaz. It is a song in which the Baroness raps about the COBRA hierarchy. The Killaz, are, in fact, Cobra Commander, Destro, and the Baroness, and as a result, I'm in love with them.

That's What I Get demo by NIN, on the Purest Feeling bootleg. Woo.

The "band" (and I use that loosely) that Scourge is talking about was originally called the GI Joe Killaz and even had CC, Baroness and Destro on one of their album covers until Hasbro shut them down, probably for violating their copyrights like that. It makes me halfway cautious about Valdigus's direction as we blatantly have some songs About Transformers or at least influenced by it slightly. Yay, Forever Is A Long Time Coming.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Why loosely? Is 'cause they're rappers?

Anyhow, these guys haven't been shut down, they still seem to be at it, they just can't use the G.I. Joe logo and filecard art and like that. I mean, songs that reference the "Eau De Cobra" episode or Tele-vipers, and the whole "Springfield" thing, they're all still on the site. So, I'd say you're safe with TF-related songs.
