Well that's good, it's not like I'm saying you suck or anything. But it just didn't do the same for me. It all gets a bit weird when you state your opinion and someone (Dom) says, "BUT [you are wrong]", y'know?

Anyway, I do mean Reflector. Never presume that I get my G1 characters mixed up, that's my *area*. =p

I liked the execution of the president's death!!
I was just glad it came out before the end of '08.
he is a boring non-character
Skywarp was also shown to be viscerally upset earlier in the series. He knew something was wrong, but could not understand what it was. (This was during the "like old times" conversation.) Why would he not be angry enough to kill Thundercracker, especially if he is not a nice guy to begin with.

Reflector being used there was simply to show various Decepticons getting bored with assaulting human cities.
Exactly. And, that is how he is relevant.

I'm not sure why you're bothering to make such a distinction between the techspecs and the TFU profiles, though, since I've said before they're fundamentally the same thing. The TFU profiles just provide more information. Budiansky wrote both. (Or he wrote the TFU profiles, which were then used as basis for the techspecs. Whether Budiansky did the omitting or some Hasbro underling did is kind of unclear.)
Exactly. And, you would have gotten at least some of these entries in the UK, so that are not completely new.

No, it's more like you randomly disliking the album version of a Beatles song because it's not the edited-down radio version. One is derived entirely from the other and only cut down to that size due to space restrictions. To ignore the TFU bios is to ignore Budiansky's intent.
This.

I am not sure that Budiansky wrote all of them. Shooter may have also written some. And, Galvatron's sourcebook entry is considerably different from his box profile, which implies that at least some of the profiles were changed substantially between Marvel and the Hasbro packaging. But, Thundercracker and most of the other '84/85 characters followed the "larger entry heavily edited" pattern.

In Thundy's case, maybe "honour" was the wrong word McCarthy could have used. Either way, fundamentally Thundy is saving innocent human lives because the Decepticons using their own bomb against them is a dirty tactic in his book.
Thundercracker was sold on the idea that being a Decepticon warrior was honourable. The more Megatron acted to undermine that, the less comfortable he was with the plan.

who ran the Optimus Prime panel at MAGFest
A whole panel on Prime? Did you type that right? Oh, lordy......

So, did he give reasons that post '91 TF all sucks?

Dom
-man, that guy apparently delivered on stereotypes like a mofo....

No it isn't. Don't act like that guy who ran the Optimus Prime panel at MAGFest which basically amounted to, "This is why everything except G1 sucks."

AHM is marred by some flawed execution and exceptionally bad editing that managed to miss important things. (The multiple bridges problem is something that really should've been caught in editing.)

OH DAMMIT SPARKY'S HERE POOL'S CLOSED

I kid, Sparky, but your distaste for AHM is well known. It makes me look like an AHM fanboy. =p

You expressed a lot of pain over this. Surprised you didn't make a thread. But it sounds like it might be genuinely annoying rather than funny annoying.

"And then after Beast Wars, there was a series called Beast Machines that sucked ass so we won't talk about it. MOVING ON."

"HEY I LIKED BEAST MACHINES."

"Shut up, no you didn't."

Darn straight! All the ones that don't go for the PUSSY NICE-GUYS, anyway!!

Really though, I am so sick of overly aggressive nerds. There are always many at cons. I think it's.. like.. discovering that they're allowed to cuss- and perhaps are no longer the puniest person in a room- suddenly goes to their head and puts them on a mad jerk power trip.

(Of course, there's plenty of nice people at cons. But my goodness, the inordinate amount of overbearing jerks put me off.)
