Botcon 2010 is Generation 2

The originals... ok, not exactly, but the original named "The TransFormers" anyway. Take THAT, Diaclone!
Generation 1, Generation 2 - Removable fists? Check. Unlicensed vehicle modes? Check. Kickass tape deck robot with transforming cassette minions? DOUBLE CHECK!!!

Dude, they do not even have a registration for up yet.

I am not sure how bad this is relative to Master Collector's track record though. They tend to leave things until the last minute. (This is less a defense of the practice than me just pointing out who exactly we are dealing with.)

Dom
-skipped Joe Con partly because there was no meaningful schedule up before the show.

Y'know, I took Sharkticon's "cape" and transformed it how they have Gnaw's in that picture...with the two sections on the sides popped out and turned upside down, and I really kind of dig it. It makes that backpack look more like a cape, it adds another step to that transformation beyond just "flip that thing down" and it brings the gun batteries on the sides of the cape into play. Way to go, guys that have that auction.

Man, the Sharkticon mold would have made fantastic Sweeps. I guess those other guys were okay, but dang.

Yeah... some details would be nice. Although I'm short on funds til next payday, so if registration could wait at least that long, that'd be swell. I want to get registered ASAP, since I waited a few days last year and as a result ended up in one of the last groups allowed to get in line, which meant spending six excruciating hours to shuffle along waiting for my exclusives. Not how I want to spend my vacation.
I disappear.

Conventions are all about lines, bro. I waited about that long to just get into the Otakon prereg line.

That was by far the worst I've been in for a Botcon. Plus it was ungodly late, on the day I flew in and I was starving. (Man, I can whine with the best of em...)

Nah, you're no kind of whiner at all. Especially in regard to BotCon, I've seen worse. How about those jerks that are all like "BotCon should be in my backyard...!" every year.

That said, Bartle Hall would be an awesome location for a BotCon, and you guys could all stay at my place.

I fear I may be one of those jerks. It's not really that I want it in my backyard every year, but west of the mississippi like every other year would be nice. Gives fans on both sides of the country a chance to enjoy it.

Nah, I was just setting up for a dumb joke. they seem to be doing better about having the show at some different locations lately, though.

There scheduling still sucks though. Florida during hurricane season? Really? And, hey, holding a convention (either "GI Joe" or "Transformers") in mid-spring, when schools are having finals? Brilliant!
