Fall of Cybertron: They've got my money now

No noses? No problem! Zombiebots? Sure, why not. A confusing new canon that allows loose and contradictory material? And now a new sequel show with an entirely different art style that takes place way in the future!

Yeah, well, a GameCube is like thirty bucks anyway, the Dolphin emulator is improving every day, and they're launching a new Wii version without GC support for Christmas anyway. (Yes, really.)

The thing is, sold my Gamecube when I got the Wii. Why have two systems when the Wii can play those games as well?

Because now the WiiU can't. And let's face it, we shouldn't expect it to--it runs on different hardware. With the exception of the GBA, no console has ever had backwards compatibility past the last generation.

My PS2 can play PSX games.

Just sayin'.

Isn't that what O6 meant when he said "past the last generation"...?

*My* PS2 can play PS1 (woo UK) games too, EXCEPT THE METAL GEAR SOLID EXTRA MISSIONS DISC APPARENTLY mumblegrumble

But it can also play PS2 games from any country, so I shouldn't be too sad.
COME TO TFVIEWS oh you already did

I'm just saying, I'm not going to buy another Gamecube when I've already got a Wii to play those games. I'll probably end up keeping my Wii and getting a Wii U.

Man, I'd be totally jealous of your ability to easily import and play Melty Blood Actress Again if, uh... I wasn't already running it on my computer with PCSX2 anyway and there wasn't an actual PC version of Current Code coming out in a couple months. I think what I'm trying to say is, region locking is stupid.

Anyway, I really should man up and get a PS3, and Autumn of Cybertron may be a good excuse to do so. Failing that, maybe I'll buy a copy anyway and play it on my brother's PS3, since he lives right next door.

Fuck that! More of us have 360s than PS3s. (Although who knows what'll happen as the next generation approaches.)

Am I the only one who's thinking of getting it on PC instead? :P

Yes, because paying for PC games is stupid. :P

Also I don't think any of us have nearly a beefy enough desktop to run it. I could barely run the 2007 TF game at the lowest settings on my laptop (before it bit the dust).
