Uh.. actually it's because I don't have the money or incentive to buy a multiple-issue comic book, and don't like using RAR to read a pirated copy of a comic book on a computer screen (that bit's picky, sure). Luckily, it happens that Trekwave has offered to trade the TPB for a package of Bri'ish food, so I'll be taking that route.

I sympathize with a lack of money. But, that is different from trying to figure out how something fits in.

The ergonomics of reading comics on screen are troublesome. And, yeah, there are ethical issues surrounding pirated content. My own standard on this is that pirated content is more "okay" directly in proportion to how difficult legitimate copies are to purchase.

Dom
-feels no guilt about all of those pirated BWII episodes. Nobody here wanted to sell them legitimately, let alone in English.

Agreed.

Also agreed.

The profiles in Wreckers weren't exactly essential though. They were informative, yes, but that's it--you can just buy the trade and get it. It's akin to buying a bare-bones DVD without any special features. Sure, there's a two-disc version out there with a Making Of and some TV spots and shit, but if you just want the film, then there you go.

I would argue that the profiles were essential. Besides being written in character voice, they do provide cues about important bits in the story. (The fact that Snare risked life and limb to help Impactor out of Garrus 9 is even more significant in light of the fact that his psychological profile describes him as pretty hard to upset, and thus less likely to be offended by Overlord being a thug.)

Similarly, read Pyro's and Overlord's profiles together. They are both lunatics, possibly with the same problems.

Luckily, it happens that Trekwave has offered to trade the TPB for a package of Bri'ish food, so I'll be taking that route.
Damn. You are ripping him the heck off.

Dom
-would recommend the compilation over the singles, just barely.

Considering how restrictive current UK regulations on posting food overseas are, I think we're square. =/

There are liability questions in the US as well. Use lots of duct tape on the packages to keep them air tight. (If nothing else, if they crack/tear, the odds of you getting busted go up.)

Dom
-hey, it is good advice.

Huh, ok, cheers for the advice. Just happened to buy a roll of duct tape today too.

I think we're square! Gom is hooking me up with some favorite delicacies here. I can not only enjoy them myself, but with my parents too (I especially look forward to them coming over sometime and seeing my English snack haul).

Shockwave
-Now off to get that compilation.
