MP 10 announced

Ancillary, non-main-line stuff. Star Wars TF, Speed Stars, Titanium Series, Robot Heroes, that sort of thing. They're kinda neat, but we all know they're not really that important. Admit it, you know it's true.

What's wrong with 20th Prime's head?

Some internet TF fans say it's not cartoon designed enough. that's why I-gear created 2 different head sculpts for their down sized MP Convoy called Faith leader.

It's disappointing because it's just another version G1 Optimus Prime, which despite being a new mold with a few changes really doesn't look all that different from the Masterpiece Optimus we've already got and seen multiple releases of.

As I said, I'd much rather see a character who hasn't gotten a Masterpiece figure yet rather than see them rehashing a character who already has an MP figure.

I think O6 is wondering why you weren't ALREADY disappointed. I totally agree with you, this sucks. Especially for the price.

Eh, I never got around to getting MP-01/MP-04 (though I did rather want Sleep Mode, just because of how cool it looked), so I may pick this one up instead. Smaller, less kibbly, more manageable. Between this and Grimlock, Takara may well be moving away from the things that scared me off of the earlier Masterpieces. Well, except then you've got Rodimus. Guess we'll see how this one turns out!

So MP-11 or MP-12 is gonna be Magnus, right?

You and me both, man. Especially since this is the "Masterpiece" line, that implies it's supposed to be the definitive versions of each character, doesn't it? Kind of undermines the whole concept if they're gonna just go back and rehash characters they've already done. Still, this thing looks pretty cool in it's way, if I didn't have a version of the original mold, I'd probably be in.

Ain't nothin' saying you've gotta buy it. The price doesn't mean anything if it's something you don't wanna buy.

True, and I probably won't. Heck, I really wanted MP04 and that was $50 cheapet. Which I guess is my main gripe about the price: They basically shrunk him down and are charging more. For that, I'd rather get MP04.

Well before the pictures showed up with only a vague description, there was a possibility it could have been a different version of Optimus at least, which would have been somewhat less disappointing.

But you knew it wouldn't have been.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
