Reveal the Shield basics cancelled at retail?

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

I am making a "no hoarding" pledge. After my second TC and WJ, I will offer for trade every copy of either figure that I get for customizing.

There is a very real chance that the WJ/TC waves will not hit retail in any meaningful quantities.

If only I had things you'd want to trade for. Oh well; at this point I'm just going to buy the Thundy/Wheeljack/Warpath wave from BBTS.

I actually need new socks. And hey, packing!

Oh I have no doubt that we'll see them in sufficient quantities it's just that it'll take so much longer after they get released for them to show up at retail here that we're essentially a year behind in what's available. Like I said, WFC Soundwave is just now starting to see decent quantities out here and he's been out for several months. Plus toy scalpers in this area tend to throw Sacramento into a toy collecting dark ages. It's just so damned frustrating that I'd rather just do it online and get it reasonably close to release dates. I recall there being concerns over the availability of Drift and Thrust but both of those have seen plenty of release here (in fact, the Drift wave is the one currently showing up on shelves out here).

The problem now is that stores are likely to be switching over to movie toys in the next month or 2.

Based on what? I say that because the toy aisle is currently pretty well divided into movie and non movie and has been for a while now, especially with Animated line running along with ROTF. And the Animated toys even still have their own pegs as well so I don't see that it would necessarily screw up anything in Hasbro's plan to ship out the last remaing bits of Generations in preperation for the movie. In fact, if anything it would prompt them to clear out the wherehouses in preparation for shipping the movie stuff. I certainly don't think they'll just put what they have on hold for an entire years. New stuff like Windcharger and the cassette twins sure, but not TC and WJ. Or even Warpath for that matter.

So you had a really easy time finding Hot Shot, Ratchet, and Bruticus, did you? Because I sure as hell didn't. (I resorted to staking out the Wal-Mart at 1am on a Thursday night/Friday morning, because that's when they were stocking the shelves.)

Pretty easy yeah. Our Targets were pretty well stocked with both "universe" Combiners (albeit in ROTF packaging) and Hot Shot and Ratchet were actually pretty common. Granted, Hot Shot and Ratchet probably didn't show in decent quantities until like 4-5 months after their release, but they did show up.

I think O6 means Universe Ultra Bruticus, the redeco of Cybertron Scourge, who I absolutely never saw. Hot Shot was nowhere to be found either, and I saw a whopping ONE Ratchet on shelves, which I bought.

*sigh* I guess I'll be ordering that last case of Deluxes off BBTS too...

Oh THAT Bruticus. Yeah, I saw a few of him. Was never really that crazy about it though.
