Dude, *nothing* is self-contained in DC. Countdown had tie-ins to tie-ins, for Gog's sake.

So far I've read "Requiem" and "Rogues' Revenge". Requiem packed the emotional punch that the first issue of FC sorely lacked, and it's a one-shot, so props there. Rogues' Revenge is really good actually, a good read if you like the Rogues, Captain Cold in particular. And Professor Zoom pops in, which is always a plus in my book.

I read "Requiem", and liked it okay, especially J'onn making the villians think his "Super-Friends" had showed up to slaughter the lot of 'em. After awhile, though, the beating that J'onn was getting seemed just gratuitously brutal...like, super-hero "Hostel" or something.

I'll have to check out the "Rouge's Revenge", though. Which Professor Zoom is it? Thawne or that new Zoom from recent Flash comics?

I should have remembered this. And yet, my Morrison-love suckered me in to one more big cosmic thing. Me=sucker.
