Wreck-Gar!

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Hey, new guy indeed. Always fun to see them; hope you stick around!

I'm seriously hoping we get an RID Scourge repaint out of Laser Prime. Real pity if not. Also, I hope his face is as shamelessly EVIL-looking as the original; a more humane face could destroy his look.

Just like everyone else is sayin', what's up new guy? Glad to have another person aboard here.
Sydew wrote:Wreck-Gar was a figure I was hoping Hasbro would make. Also love the Perceptor, I heard they would repaint the mould to be Reflector I'm not sure it would look good though.

Yyyyeeaahhh. I don't know about the Reflector, either. I can just about get behind the Perceptor, even if I'm not sold on his vehicle mode, because the robot totally looks like Perceptor, but Reflector just seems like he should be at least three guys. If he's one guy, what's the point of him, anyhow? But we'll see eventually.

You know I'm down with that, but I'm betting if they do, he'll be a "Nemesis Prime". I'm almost hoping for an Ultra Magnus repaint just to see if the fansprojects guys make up another set of armor.

But the Laser Prime's the one time I'm wishing there'd be a trailer, because that trailer' probably makes for the coolest base of any of 'em.

Another welcome to Sydew the New Guy!

Word I'd heard was that Perceptor would be repainted into Trailbreaker. That makes more sense, I think, in terms of vehicle mode.

Wreck-Gar looks beautiful. And he can *ride* himself. This almost guarantees a Junkion retool, if you ask me. If not, I'm buying two Wreck-Gars.

Laser Prime came out of left field and is amazing. I just about shit my pants. But I'm actually worried about this one. Like some people have mentioned, FunPub's looking to go on a serious RiD binge next year. So there's the chance they may end up jumping the gun YET AGAIN and doing a Scourge repaint before Hasbro has the chance. This would be infuriating. So I'm hoping they can keep it in their pants.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Laser Magnus redeco either, though. That color scheme was awesome.

I can't wait to see Kup.

I'm thinking Hasbro'll do it next year. Doesn't FunPub need a full two years between releases or something?

And yet another welcome for the new guy. Welcome Sydew, as you can tell we all get quite excited when someone new show up around here.

I think the push for the '86 movie characters is because the 25th anniversary of the movie will be next year. That coupled with the 10th anniversary of RID promises to yield quite an awesome TF collecting year.

Welcome to the boards, Sydew!

Wow, some crazy images hitting now. Wreck-Gar turns into a dirtbike? That I didn't see coming, I wanted something more junk-cycle, I'm not sure how to feel about that yet.

I don't really get Laser Prime, I don't see the point. Maybe because I have RID Scourge? Maybe because I prefer Powermaster Prime? Maybe because it reminds me a little of Armada dlx Prime? Whatever it is, I'm not going "wow" over this figure yet.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

I see the point, make a new Prime because people seem to like those, and it's been awhile since this line (or series of lines) had one. But what I wonder is, what do they think can be improved on from the original? Because while he's not crazy-articulated, the original is a damn fine hunk of toy. I get that the chest windows aren't a cheat on this version, but the "cheaty" part of that transformation never really bothered me.

And a big "Word" on the love for Powermaster Prime. Man, I'd love to see a reimagined Powermaster Prime come out of Generations.

^this^ If for no other reason than to get a Prime with a damn trailer.

Shockwave
-Really seems to be hating on the lack of trailers lately.
