Botcon 2010 is Generation 2

The originals... ok, not exactly, but the original named "The TransFormers" anyway. Take THAT, Diaclone!
Generation 1, Generation 2 - Removable fists? Check. Unlicensed vehicle modes? Check. Kickass tape deck robot with transforming cassette minions? DOUBLE CHECK!!!

Like I said, the aftermarket on these may not be so bad, since a lot of people are very much "Not buying this at all," just on Pyro alone.

I might be willing to split a set. Unless Pyro really wows me in "Wreckers" or there is something compelling about keeping the set complete, I will have no desire for that figure.

I demand a black Sideswipe though.

Just get a hold of more of the Classics molds, some paint, and go to town?

I dunno, Pyro looks great and all, but since I know I won't be able to afford 'em, I'm not getting too wound up. Fantastic idea, though.

It seems kind of like...half-assing it though. Mind you, I have customs of several toys likely to be in this set. And, as I said before, my Ramjet is likely to be better. But, it would kind of bug me knowing that there was a legitimate figure out there of something I had customized.

Dom
-been skipping enough toys to be able to justify this.

Oh maaaaan. That is so many worlds of awesome. 'So Many'.

I cannot wait to see the inevitable Colossus counterpart, as Clench is among my favourite TFs ever. Also, thanks to this running at the same time as LSotW, Pyro and Spark get to be separate, legit characters!

Dom (or anyone else), any chance I can buy a loose set if you get the boxset? Or at least just Spark?

Also, Shaun, the club's official customiser, had his Overkill made into an actual figure.May have been coincidence though.

Custom Class Overkill looks different from TFU Overkill though.

Note to anyone who wants to trade with me: I am not going to BotCon. I can help you connect and broker for extra sets. I am likely only getting one set. If I get a loose set, I am less likely to want to keep the all. If I get a boxed set and/or really like all of the characters, I am more likely to keep the set complete.

As of now, I have no inclination to keep Spark. I like the mold, but have two of it (Inferno and my custom Artfire). And, I do not like the colors. There is no characterizatioin to speak of. To be honest, it is beyond me how such a hideous toy can have such a fiollowing. (I know some people like Scourge of O86 like hideous and gaudy toys. But, can there really be *that* many?)

Dom
-c'mon...gimmee another Sideswipe mold. Gonna buy 'em all.

Yes. And most of them come around here.

In all honesty, I'm more a fan of Thunderclash than I am Pyro. Pyro only gets the win because he faces off against Clench. If it comes down to it, 86 should get your extra Pyro. I'm still undecided on buying the set myself until we see more toys. Also, he has characterisation *now!* Wreckers, man!

What's more? People on ATT are suspecting the guy they'll use for Clench...is Onslaught. Seriously. Onslaught as Clench. If they do that, I will buy the set. Full stop.

That remains to be seen.

Objectlvely, Onslaught as Clench works. But, I am really hoping for G2 colored Onslaught to get an official release. (I really do not want to have to paint that one up on my own. I will. But, I would much rather not have to.)

Of course, rationally, I should be happy with my custom black SideSwipe. But, I want official another official release of my favorite mold of all time.

Dom
-really does not want to paint something as big and yellow as G2 Onslaught.

Brakedown. Part of me now thinks this makes Sideswipe unlikely. And on top of that, I'm not really a Stunticon fan, but part of this makes me really want it. I dunno why.

My interest in this set just went down a bit, and I am much less likely to keep the set intact.

Dom
-still wants Breakdown though.
