Actually, they're effectively the regular artist for Power Pack; they do 'em all the time. That Young Justice stuff was just (awesome) fanart they had up on their website.

I was pissy that my comic shop was never getting in Atomic Robo when I ordered it. Lousy place! I reread the first TPB the other day. My God, this comic rules. Clevinger is a genius with dialogue.

Oh god, not you too. I read about half of the first trade and had to put it down in disgust. Look, I'm all for repetitive fetish fuel, but even I have my limits. The heroine gets her outfit shredded, then she gets tied up suggestively, then she struggles against perverse villains for a few pages. EVERY. FRIGGIN'. CHAPTER.

There is a huge difference in these situations. We've see the Power Rings are capable of amazing feats. It is not a stretch to believe a power ring from Death itself would be capable of this. In Transformers however, we've seen Transformers rebuilt good as new from much more serious injuries and as such, Perceptor's sudden change requires more explanation than just 'he got hurt and now he's different'.

I find it interesting that a theory based on Death, (as an actual entity with a proper name), is considered more plausible than a guy changing his perspective after nearly getting killed.

The difference being past experiences within the respected franchises. We've seen entities given shape from some force of the universe before in DC who have taken over people (Parallax for an example). In Transformers however, we've seen Transformers take an incredible amount of damage and restored back to normal with out any personality changes. So what makes Perceptor different? This is something that needs to be explained to make it plausible.

What I am asking is why it is so hard to believe that nearly getting killed might change somebody's perspective. How is that such an unreasonable idea in any franchise?

We've seen entities given shape from some force of the universe before in DC who have taken over people (Parallax for an example).

Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds #5 Johns and Perez. And if that second name wasn't on there, and I didn't love some Legion, that so wouldn't have happened, either. The ending, as far as Superboy-Prime goes is clever, the epilogue is weak. The art, though, is incredibly beautiful, even if it starts to just be "Sweet mother of crap, that is a lot of Legionnaires on that page..now what the hell's happenin'?"

Captain Britain and MI-13 #15 Cornell and Kirk. After I read this, I'll have read the last issue and it'll be over. Sigh.

The Incredible Hercules #131 Van Lente, Pak, and Stegman. Well, this is now officially Marvel's best book. And it's going bimonthly. Takes a lil' of the sting off the loss of Captain Britain's book.

Wednesday Comics Allred, Gaiman, Simonson, Baker, and some other guys. If I really like this one, it's staying on the list. If not, four bucks a week adds up, y'know?

Now then. Perceptor. Seems like he's always kinda disconnected from the war proper, more in his own lil' happy scientist theoretical world. So getting effed right on up might make him seriously question the priorities he's had. That said, please tell me Perceptor's not all grim and gritty now.

Read and adored it. Best Superman series I can think of offhand, and a perfect example of how I like my comics these days. Well-written, beautifully drawn, and self-contained. No four stupid books a week to wade through, and Superman manages to not whine about how he doesn't really belong on earth and no one understands. Looking at you, Arcudi.
