No, I get where he's going, it's just that...well, we haven't ever really seen this thing in action. The only release of that mould after Gigs was Deathsaurus.

Re: Hasbro Question and Answer, round 5.
Well actually, there is precedent in Gigatron, in that he was released first, with six official modes. Then they went and made Devil Gigatron, and 'figured out' three new modes for it (and tweaked the molding to allow a fourth) bringing the full official mode count up to ten. So the idea is, did Takara (because this was Takara) get the idea for writing in extra modes on Devil Gigs' instructions from seeing fans online fiddling with the original Gigatron and coming up with all sorts of crazy extra modes?
But like I said, that was Takara, not Hasbro, who would likely have very little idea what we're talking about with this.
My question: What the fuck no ROTF Bruticus in stores?

I'd contribute more to these, really I would, but sumbish if I can think of a good question. Like, right now, the best I can think of is "So, what can I do to thank you for saying that Animated Arcee will eventually get released?" Or, I dunno, "Since the basics in the new movie line have faces and like that, are they holdovers from some other line?"
Neither of which is very good. But I do support the "Any designs that just didn't work out?" question, anyhow.

I don't suspect the Movie Basics are holdovers from anything else, being that A) They still very clearly have Movieish designs--I can't see Ransack's arms flying in a non-movie line too easily, and B) There's a fuckton of them.
Re: Hasbro Question and Answer, round 5.
Lets see if we can get one more real knock-out of a question in here by next week.
I am happy so far though.

How many more of these guys are coming? I know about Ejector, of course, but aside from repaints what else is happenin' here?Onslaught Six wrote: There's a fuckton of them.
Didn't really think they were holdovers, it's just funny to see TFs with faces in this line, is all.

Well, none that we don't know about yet--but we know about as many Basics coming up as we do Deluxes and such.

Guys, enough about my asking for Ravage, okay? They did say they had plans to release the figure during the 10th anniversary that fell through, and they did release new versions of BW Cheetor and Dinobot in Universe, with hints of more BW-inspired figures in the future (like the hinted Voyager Rhinox), so my hopes for a new BW Ravage is more feasible than most other "OMFG PLZ GET ME THIS FIGURE" expectations.
And I've seen the pictures of the BWN Unicron; its transformation, if not that similar to Armada Unicron, definitely resembles Cybertron Primus to a point, so my question is still valid.
At least my question about fan alt modes got more favorable attention from this site.

Re: Hasbro Question and Answer, round 5.
I'm not that concerned about fan alt. modes, myself. Honestly, anyone can work out whatever alternate transformation they want with a given toy - and if it works, fans figured it out by themselves in the first place, so why would Hasbro invest more money into altering instructions/toy moulding etc.? Everything incurs extra expense.
However, it DOES go down a veeery interesting road: That of undocumented features. There are some elements of design that are clearly present in certain toys, yet aren't noted in the instructions at all. In some cases, these are obvious, in other cases less so. Sometimes these are unfinished and understandably left out (Ala Universe Galvatron's third mode), yet some are simply inexplicably left out of the documentation (Movie Knock-Out's wings, Fallen's arm-to-waist links). What do the designers think of elements designed into toys, but undocumented? Is there any possible outlet for 'correct' transformations and undocumented design elements? Given the stock photos are often mistransformed, we have no good source for this.

It's still randomly namedropping your OMG FAVOURITE CHARACTER in an attempt to get them to drop any new info about a new one. It's not going to happen any time soon--if you want it so bad, track down X-9 Ravage.SynjoDeonecros wrote:Guys, enough about my asking for Ravage, okay? If you don't like me pointing out that I don't like you bringing it up, then you can always not bring it up anymore.
