Cripes, it's been nearly a month since I posted a haul here. So, since last September 12th until now...

32" Sony WEGA Trinitron from 2004 - my 27" tv died on me, and being super low on funds, we hit Craig's List and found some good tube tv deals. This one was $150, dude thought it was 1 year newer and had 1 more year of transferable warranty, when he found out that wasn't the case I decided to look into it online and saw it was 165 pounds, which probably meant new furniture to hold it, so I passed. 30 mins later, he called back with a counter offer of $100, I took it. It was a beast to get into the car and then out of the car and into the elevator, but my coffee table actually does hold the weight. It's very large, and has the original remote, good color, resolution isn't quite as good as my late Samsung but still decent. So it's a transition TV, but decent, especially for the price.

PS3 Motorstorm - $12 off Amazon marketplace because the box was damaged. Game plays fine though.

PS3 SW:The Force Unleashed - got it from TRU for the $20 giftcard since I didn't care for the Game Stop figure. Fun game, somewhat limited though, and too short.

Hasbro Star Wars V-19 Torrent - with my $20 giftcard, I bought the V-19 from TRU finally. They had the 25% off discount, so it came to $20.29, nice! Ok ship, I really REALLY wish the wings locked down better though, inverted play causes them to droop. Ship really needs more deco and details, too many smooth elements including the cockpit interior. And I can't get figures to hold that control stick, the shape is too weird for the hands. Good, not great.

DVD Ferris Bueller's Day Off - $7.50 at Target.

2x $8 Uniflame portable charcoal grills - it was way cheaper than buying a slightly bigger one that the vegetarians in the family would have to share.

cheap bbq tools - to go with the above.

Dr. Henry Jones - thanks to a little help from a SW buddy. Good figure, too tall, good accessories.

Young Indy - found at WM, they had a batch, all had bad paint on the face including mine. Ok figure, not enough articulation or accessories.

Hasbro Star Wars Jodo Kast - ok I guess, but very sloppy paint. One of those characters that should have been long ago, almost seems too late now.

Marvel TF Wolverine - I really dig this one. Very nifty alt mode and transformation, good robot mode but has a hard time standing due to foot design (takes action poses better than neutral), and snikt spring-loaded claws are always welcome.

Marvel TF green Hulk - interesting, not entirely satisfying but some cool ideas. I think if the bot mode had been bigger, even if just bigger legs, it would have worked a lot better.

Iron Man Blu-Ray Target Exclusive - my first Blu-Ray movie. Haven't had time to watch it yet, comes in a nifty container shaped like IM's head.

Haunted Mansion glow in the dark Playing Cards - $5 at Disneyland, and they're nicely stylized, but the g.i.t.d. aspect makes the backs gritty and I suspect that'll affect shuffling and dealing. More to look at than to play.

Tune-up for the car - gotta get it smogged this month.

TFviews News system and snazzy graphics - see for yourself.

Son of a gun, I hadn't noticed that! Good find. For Dom's sake, this little gem is when you edit the first post in the thread, when you change it to "sticky" there's a number box underneath for the amount of time it'll stay that way.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Mai-Otome Zwei Special Edition DVD- This is entirely too much box for four episodes. I don't care how many t-shirts and pencil boards it comes with.

Marvel Transformers Human Torch- Had my eye on this one for a while, he lives up to my expectations. Though the shoulders are a bit high, and I really can't agree with the use of transluscent plastic on the incredibly stiff hinge elbow joints. Gonna have to be careful with those. Love love LOVE the colors though. I wish I had Titanium Fallen, so the guys on fire could hang out together.

Universe Sunstreaker- A second one, to turn into Tiger-Track when Sideswipe comes out. The sale on Deluxes was still on at my Wal-Mart, so I figured I might as well.

Hrmm. Seems that I haven't bought anything in a while, but that's changed!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time manga, volume 1. I knew this existed, but I didn't know it was getting an English translation and release, so cool on that. The first real page features a tiny note that basically says "OoT was an N64 game!" but it incorrectly lists the release date as 1996--the N64 itself was released in 1996; Zelda didn't come out until 1998, after numerous delays. Wiki says that the original Japanese version had two volumes--one with six chapters, and one with nine (corresponding to Child and Adult link, clearly) but this has ten chapters. Flipping through, it's got some pretty spiffy art in it, which is good as that'd be the primary reason for buying manga in the first place, right? Also, it's in proper right-to-left manga format, which rules. Apparently, the second volume comes in December, and then next year is a release of Majora's Mask and Oracle of Seasons. $8, which is good because it's...not $10? I imagine this is because it's an older manga, like Rurouni Kenshin is, as opposed to a newer one like FMA.

Hrm, who's the publisher? Honestly, age rarely has to do with manga pricing. Kenshin is $8 because it's released under VIZ's Shonen Jump line, which sells everything at that price, for whatever reason.

I really hope they're planning on releasing the Oracle of Ages manga after Seasons, since it'd frankly be retarded to release one and not the other.

Anyway, I got IDW's Transformers- The Ark II. This was sharing shelf space with the compiled Beast Wars Sourcebook, but I decided to go with the option that treats the Japanese series with respect.

So. My Wal-Mart? It still has the $7.77 sale going on. And the new wave of Universe. Downside? No damn Ahrnhide. Crap! So I figured Sideswipe would do. He's kinda cool, though I wish his horns didn't stick out of his head so much. Just looks...odd.

It's Viz, yeah.

Wiki doesn't have any info on how many chapters they are, and I'm stupid and/or lazy and don't feel like looking up the preorder page, but maybe both Oracles will be compiled in one volume?

Whee!

Okay, box of stuff came in the mail today. What you'd call kind of a mixed bag.

Animated Lugnut: Welcome to three months ago, Scourge. Haven't fiddled with this guy much yet, but I like him so far. Cool overall design, nifty colors, big poundy fist/claws, and the action on his weapon is kinda fun. Overall, I likey.

SDCC Menasor: I know, "but...why?" It's not like I was overwhelmed by love for this dude when he came out or anything. But I've been curious about the Rodimus mold, and found this guy for ten bucks. May as well, right? I have thoughts on this guy, so I'll be giving love to the "Other Lines" section here soon.

Keychains Brawn and Windcharger: These were basically free, but still awesome. On what wound up being my first TF run ever, I got a Windcharger and my brother picked up ol' Brawn. So it's cool to have both of these molds again. Besides, minibots are always kinda fun.

McAnimated Starscream: Also thrown in for free. I actually sort of like this toy, but good lord, I have three of 'em now. Three!

McTankor: For real, yo. Dude tossed this in there, too. It's hilarious and I kinda like it. Well, what standards are you gonna judge a Happy Meal toy on, right?

So yeah, kind of a rad box right there.

Stopped at Wal-Mart to get a drink, checked out the toys, and 'booyah,' Silverstreak and Sideswipe. No Ironhide, damn! I also got the only ones and proceeded to go to my local TF friend's house and wave them in his face. "Ha! I beat you to them, sucker. Boosh!"

Also, they were only $7.77, still. Awesome. I will continue to check back for when Ironhide comes out.

Mutt and Junkyard: an old sentimental favorite of mine. I have a second one coming in the mail to keep carded.

K*Mart Minicon 12 pack: I planning to post a review of this shortly. Getting this takes care of my last real brick and mortar hunt. From here on out, at least through April of so, most of my hunting will be on-line. (I do not like hunting in the winter anyway, and given bad distribution, hunting online is cheaper if one montizes for time.)

Dom
-ordered Sideswipe.

He's worth it. His gun's painted like the old missile launcher, which is cool, since you can mount it there and...yeah, you know this already.

But doing that gives up a downside--it's 'his gun' there, meaning he's got nothing in his hands, and looks kinda plain without it. So, yeah, he needs another gun. I think I still have a spare knockoff Swindle rifle somewhere...
