I'm gonna speculate That the 5 Terrorcons that form Abonimus were originally meant to be Thundertron's crew before the Beasthunters toys/media idea replaced The thundertron & Trrorcons cartoon plot/arc in season 3 of TF Prime's cartoon.

I'm also gonna speculate that TF Prime Ultra Magnus had a big role in TF Prime season 3 before the idea got replaced with Beasthunters. My speculation is that Ultra magnus was a inter-galactic police robot, that went around the Galaxy hunting down extremely violent decepticons. Ultra magnus & Thundertron in TFP season 3 probably would or had a previous history & been something similar to the Beastwars season 3 Depth Charge & Rampage relationship

My guess is that Ultra magnus' TFP season 3 crew would have been Ironhide & other elite guard members. similar to the elite guard from the 2008 Animated cartoon series.

My speculation is that Thundertron's TFP season 3 crew would have consisted of the 5 Terrorcons that form Abonimus & Rumble.

Maybe the Dinobots were even going to be in TFP season 3 as either rogue warriors in their own group or as part of Ultra Magnus hired muscle bots.

Do we have any proof that there was a big planned third arc with Magnus fighting Thundertron that never got produced, or are you projecting again?

I said in my reply above it was all speculation.

I like the look of this set. I've got my original G1 Terrorcons still, and I usually enjoy a good update. I'm not to sure about some of the new naming choices, but that's a minor thing.

I'm hoping that the 2013 TF Prime Terrorcons/Abonimus comes in 2 different toy sizes like ROTF Devestator did. My hopes are for 5 Legends sized TFP Terrorcons that form Abonimus. Then 1 Voyager sized Hungurr & 4 Deluxe sized Terrorcons limbs bots that merge to form Abonimus. I'M SPECULATING THIS DREAM WON'T HAPPEN BUT IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT DID.

No, I'm not remotely excited, that looks like ass, and I'd think so even if I weren't a BH hater. The long arms have a full set of hands pointing up in the air as shoulderpads, then a freeway's worth of actual arms down to the floor.

That's what's so cool about him. He's like a giant Eldritch abomination. Limbs everywhere!

To be fair/honest the 2013 4 terrorcons Limbs-bots are in the same exact toy size scale there 1987 original toys were. the 1987 Terrorcon's limbs-bots were way to small to fit into the now 2013 basics;/commanders size scale.

The only 2013 Terrorcon that is in the wrong size scale is Hun-gurr,he should have received a deluxe sized toy. because most 1980's combiners team leaders had deluxe sized toys, with legends sized limbs-bots/teamates.

Sure,I would love for Hasbro to release 4 deluxe sized 2013 terrorcons limbs-bots & one voyager sized hun-gurr. or at the very least 4 2013 terrorcons limbs-bots that were basic/commander sized with 2013 Hun-gurr being deluxe sized. However,I think the 5 2013 legends sized terrorcons look decent & will probably form a tall voyager sized gestalt,so this is good enough for me. I'll be buying the target combiner gift set of 2013 Abonimus when it gets released in stores.

Bleh, what's the point of having heads and torsos and alternate modes then? Why not just a vomit of vaguely robotic parts snapped together in a deathwheel or a centipede or a big mean robot arm on tank treads?

Legends are smaller than the limb-bots of old.

Ain't gonna lie, I'd buy the hell out of a toy of a horrifying TF monster-abomination like that.
