Sorry, this just came upon me. Serious question.

No, dammit, the designers must have had *something* in mind. Klaws was one of the few "600 Series" style Gobots actually created by Tonka rather than Bandai, so there was no culture clash, and time had passed, they knew what they were doing... He *must* be meant to be... some thing...

but whaaaat

Lovely lovely Puzzler.

Look how the shoulder joint goes *through* Pocket's windshield! Lovely unique transformation.

According to his bio, Pocket is a karate expert.

...No answer on why all his teammates are named after puzzle-related things, while he's named after a Dickens character.

Pocket Puzzle. They were a thing, at one point, I think.

Puzzler's overrated.

Yes but--

joke ruiner =[

...Puzzler is definitely one of the best transforming gestalts (as in, gestalt with individual transformer parts) I've ever seen. He and Devil Satan 6 / Monsterous are both a lot of fun. And... better than Devastator... 8|

I know where you live Prowl. And, it will only take me so long to find your snack treats.

Where did GoBots have character profiles? I do not recall those anywhere.

Puzzlor did have a gun that did not fit anywhere on the individual figures. But, the gun was not stictly needed for the complete mode. And, even if we assume it was needed, compare the gun to about 25% of Devastator's mass or Menasor's hands and feet. (In theory, you could cheap out on Menasor's face, chest plate and crotch plate. But, the hands and feed were non-negotiable.)

No contest. Puzzlor wins.

Dude, it's *Puzzler*. He's not a He-Man character.

The combiners definitely have bios, hell, I've still got one of the Monsterous guys' right over there. Just a sec.

Capable of predicting the ominous future of his victims, he smirks with delight as he flies down for the attack. And when he connects with his five Renegade cohorts, he becomes a Giant Monsterous Arm, pitting his evil strength against the Guardians!
Can't find Pocket's, but I'm sure it described him as a karate expert.

And it's *Scorponok*, while we're at it!

EDIT: Here you go.
Tonka purple prose wrote:In the battle over Earth, the Renegades enlist the aid of a secret Gobotron recruit-- giant Puzzler. Made up of six unusual GoBots, Puzzler Pieces each turn from robot to vehicle, and each possess a specific Mighty Skill: Pocket's karate hand moves faster than the eye. Crossword has the crushing strength of six GoBots. Tic-Tac is the evil mind behind Puzzler's schemes. Jigsaw, the master of disguises, bends into any shape. Rube's super senses feel the slightest movement. Zigzag has the furious speed of a striking snake. When their powers combine, they become a formidable force. However, Puzzler has one weakness-- and the Guardians have uncovered it. Should even one Piece be unable to join with the others, the Mighty Strength will fade away. Each Piece must then rely on his own specific skill to survive. The Guardians must keep Puzzler from piecing together. The fate of the Earth depends on it!
