G2 Protectobots on sale...

Yes, again.

So if anyone's got fifteen grand kickin' around they didn't know what to do with, this is an option.

That is less than a third of what I owe in student debt.

Dom-cannot afford to joke about such things.

Meh.

I never got the thing with these. I mean, Fruiticus is only endearing because he's A) Bruticus, B) A big battlin' dudicus, and C) Energon armour Onslaught II, dude. But these things always looked like crap.

Maybe, but they're *rare* crap. An officially-produced Transformer that there's only five or six of IN THE WORLD? Of course collectors are gonna jump on that, even more so if there's a whole team to hunt down.

Hell yeah, G2 commercial.

Almost a whole team, at least in this auction. Never heard of a G2 Hotspot, anyway. But yeah, the rarity of these makes the price ridiculous. This is the same set, I think, that the Hartmans (sp?) had, so they seem to be the only one that keeps circulating. For my part, if these had been released, it'd be just the kinda retarded color scheme I go ape for, but as a fifteen-grand rarity? Yeah, even if I had the extra cash lying around, I kinda think I'd pass.

Ooh, that's kinda nice.

Okay, lemme rephrase. I've never heard of a G2 Hotspot being for sale. Not that I pay terribly close attention to auctions for toys that cost thousands of dollars, but y'know.

Man, I wish they'd released Defensor instead of Superion. And done Menasor while they were at it. Those two look really cool. Just not, y'know, "sell an organ to get" cool.

No bids so far. it might be a function of the economy. Or, it could be a case of the toy hitting its ceiling. Usually, when stuff gets up this high, there are so few recorded sales that people just use the last one as a bench-mark. But, in this case, we might actually be seeing it top off.

As an aside, Lewis Brooks got the Encore Bruticus. i will try to fiddle with it this week, if only to see if the QC issues are as bad as people say.

Dom
-wants a Defensor and Menasor.

Yo, Dom, didn't you send me a Defensor the one time? That cool lil' knock-off? He's pretty neat. Odd how Hasbro doesn't ever bother making a reissue of that guy. There some mold problem like the Stunticons have goin' on that prevents it?

My combiner want list at this point is pretty small. I've got the best one already, so I'm kinda okay. Wouldn't mind a Predaking, though.
