It seems like there are either a lot of collectors around your area-- or a lot of scalpers. Maybe both.

My shelves have been full since just before the price hike.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Stopped by Wal-Mart before work because I had a half hour to kill. The new 25th fivepacks were 'gone,' which sucked. Spotted around and noticed Resolute Shockwave and Destro or whatever they are. I bought it for Shockwave, obviously, always a fan of him for no real reason other than being The SWAT Guy.

Anyway, I peeked about and saw last week's dickweed had stolen two figures right off the cards:

This is really starting to piss me off. I'll be here 'all week,' sucker, so I'll be able to watch your little movements. Plus, I looked in the clearance, and the 25th Prime missing cab is *still there!* What the hell, man.

Well I went with an old high school friend to Reno to visit with another old high school friend, and good times were had by all! And I even got to sample the local toy pickings! TRU was fun. No TFs I didn't have yet, but they had a shit-ton of Watchmen toys, which totally blew me away (I didn't think they carried DC DIrect stuff anywhere but comic stores). So I snapped up Roschach, plus DC Universe Classics Captain Cold, since his wave has been nowhere to be seen in my area, though I hope I'll run across The Flash later on. Anyway, we stopped by Wal-Mart too, and HOLY CRAP latest Animated Wave! I grabbed Samurai Prowl, who's interesting based on my limited fiddling so far. The sidecar had me seriously stumped for a while, until I realized that the shoulderpads were supposed to go UNDER and IN FRONT of his arms. Madness! Also was delighted to stumple upon a stray Universe Sideswipe, so now I've got the extra I needed for customizing. And last but not least, I managed to find a bunch of Manga I wanted at their Barnes & Noble's that wasn't out in my place yet. The second Phoenix Wright manga, Bleach vol. 26, and Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei Vol. 1. Well worth the travel! But still good to be back in CA.

Customizing yielded:

-TFU Detritus
-some weird griffin critter from the Ravage figure that came with the Hound figure that was recolored into Detritus.
-Flint as a Crimson Guard
-General Philip Rey :)

I will post pics of, and ruminations on, these in the next week or so. It is probably best not to post so many pictures at once though.

If you find him, kill him.

I bought a Rorschach t-shirt because I am a sucker.

Also, I reviewed Watching The Watchmen.

Shouldn't someone start a March Hauls thread at this point?
