binding kitbash pole

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

binding kitbash pole

Post by Dominic »

I am planning to customize a TFU Starscream into SG Thundercracker. I am torn between giving him the standard missiles or the thicker missiles that came with Ramjet.

On the one hand, the thicker missiles will better evoke the look of the G2-style art used for TC's one appearance. On the other, I could also use them for my "heavy-fighting" trooper that I plan to convert soon.

Thoughts?

Kitbah! New word!

Anyway, the absolutely wonderous Actionmaster Thundercracker, upon which SG Thundy is based, featured no actual arm missiles, while his exo-suit had big pink ones! So I say go with the thicker ones, if only because it would look more ridiculous, which is a large part of the appeal of this color scheme. To me, anyway.

I am tempted to leave the missiles out, and to remove the wings. But, as he transforms in SE/SG, I may as well do a straight recolor, if with different missiles.

Is this 'beefy' Seeker BB?

Is this guy supposed to be BB?

See the BWII jet guys are named Starscream, Thrust, Dirge, and BB. BB's the odd man out, not being a G1 name, so I always theorized there was a G1 Seeker named BB that we just never knew about. And surely, 'he' would have hugeass bomb missiles, so yeah.

Nah. He may coincidentally have colors similar to BB, but the colors will actually be based on Bombshell. It started as a joke color scheme I considered for my extra Cyclonus.

The basic idea is that I will use Ramjet's pointy head on a regular Decepticon soldier body. I did a green PVC variant of this years ago, back in '03. Ramjet from the Marvel x-over had a similar appearance.
