Eh? They left his chin unpainted so it looks like he has it, so I dunno what you're talkin' about.
Buh...? *Obstinently checks wiki* Well holy shit. I've been looking at pics of this guy since they came out, and every time I looked, I would swear that he didn't have it. As you can tell, it was a big issue for me, so I don't know how the hell I kept thinking it wasn't there. God damn. No, seriously, I'm actually mad at myself about this now. I just might have to stop off and pick him up TOMORROW. *Looks some more* Aha! So it was the Henkei version that lacked the chinstrap! That must've been the one I kept eyeing, for whatever reason. *Kicks self over and over and over again...*

I had the partswap idea long before Walky did. >.> Henkei Smokey's got a better colour scheme, overall, but I can't justify spending the cash for him when you take into account the fact that I don't care about Smokescreen that much. I mostly just want him to complete the set.

Has Inferno hit retail yet, or are we gonna have to wait until after the Drought?

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

My haul:

TFU Cheetor
TFU Dinobot
(Both on sale at Target.)

Combat Heroes wave 2.

Customizing yielded a PVC (Heroes of Cybertron) Ironhide in "movie" colors and a Phoenix Guard Coppehead (High-tide).

Saw Universe Starscream at Target, had him in my basket, turned around to look at the TFA Voyagers one more time and found Shockwave hiding behind Blitzwing. I had put this guy on the "buy on sight" list, but money is tight and made me question whether or not I should throw down my action jackson on a toy.

I am a weak man. Shockwave is mine, but at least I put Starscream back. He'll be around for a while I hope, I'll pick him up in the next few weeks. Blurr is a higher priority, though, if he had been at Target I may have grabbed him instead of Shockwave.

Of note, this is the first time I've bought a TF bigger than a deluxe for myself, let alone two of them. Animated has got me good.

I tend to buy the packs that strike me as "most wrong". The "Order 66"-themed sets, pairing a Jedi with the Commander who shot them in SWIII more than meets that standard.

Dom
-notes few TF sets meet that rather low mark.

Star Wars Clone Wars Asajj Ventress - decent, not mindblowing.

TF:U Dinobot - meh, ok to look at, not fun to play with or pose. Tail missile launcher went defective on me a week after purchase.

TF:U Cyclonus - very cool bot, vehicle is only ok.

TF:A Swindle - ugly head, facade looks, interesting transformation, but plagued by quality control issues.

Replacement TF:A Swindle - different QC problems, frankensteined the forearms around twice due to QC then returned original.

TF:A Blurr - super awesome alt mode, complicated transformation but interesting, bot mode is lithe and cool.

Hellboy 2 3.75" Liz Sherman - likeness isn't that accurate, but it's not ugly, just not Selma Blair. Figure is very good overall, articulation, sculpting, deco.

HB2 3.75" Wink - very nifty indeed! Would fit with Star Wars pretty well too, except better sculpting and articulation and paint.

HB2 3.75" Johann Krauss - also quite nifty, and might fit with Star Wars' Wat Tambor.

Star Trek TOS Spock - TRU has these now. Figure has good sculpting, paint is a bit messy but ok. However, mine is defective, fused left elbow.

Nausea from watching O6's video swaying to and fro.

Either there are no electronics, or my copy did not ship with batteries. (I am betting thr former).
If memory serves, Vector takes AAAs, and doesn''t ship with them. That was one of the arguments JT and I had in favour of him having an abandoned light gimmick.
One of several reasons, yes. Stupid audio only, plus round shape in chest that clear keys go over plus way too much battery power for a weakass audio clip, equals stolen light gimmick.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?
