I got pretty close to the end of the game, but didn't quite finish it. I only had one more Dreamer I needed to break the seal of to unlock the final boss. I know where the Dreamer is, but I don't know how to get to it. I'm sure it's just a hidden path or something, but it's a difficult area to explore, so I put it off and didn't get around to it again.andersonh1 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 13, 2025 11:21 amMy oldest daughter really enjoyed the first Hollow Knight. I played it a bit and liked it, but never got very far.

It's a tough game in areas. It's well-crafted and aesthetically beautiful as well. There are some talented people out there.Sparky Prime wrote: ↑Mon Oct 13, 2025 6:10 pmI got pretty close to the end of the game, but didn't quite finish it. Absolutely. City of Tears in-particular is one of my top favorite areas of any video game for how beautiful it is and how soothing the music.andersonh1 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 14, 2025 9:04 amIt's a tough game in areas. Re: Video Games are awesome
Just started playing Metroid Prime 4: Beyond today.
I'm still very early into the game. I'm not impressed by the physic abilities Samus has in this game thus far. A lot of them are just name changes of abilities she normally has, and doesn't really change how they function. Physic bombs rather than morph ball bombs. Physic visor rather than scan visor. The physic beam is a new thing, acting sorta like a guided missile. It's awkward to control though, being inverted. And that's not how Samus controls, which in a combat situation can be annoying to have to adjust to.

Spoiler
The story so far, Samus is called in to help the Galactic Federation defend an artifact they discovered from Space Pirates under the command of Sylux (who has a new brand of Metroid that can take over the body of another being). Things go wrong and the artifact teleports everything around it to another planet... causing various malfunctions in her suit in the process. Turns out, she's the prophesied chosen one of the Lamorn. The Lamorn are an extinct race, but they left behind recordings, asking that Samus recover a number of artifacts and take them to a new world to preserve their legacy.
