Reign of Starscream compiled

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

Reign of Starscream compiled

Post by Dominic »

Here are my thoughts:

Reign of Starscream: Very often, when a compilation like this comes out, I make a decision to buy it depending on how much I liked the original comics. This question is usually answered one of three ways. The first scenario is that I skip the reprint. The second is that I buy the reprinted compilation, but get rid of the originals. The third is that I buy the reprint, and keep the originals. Besides being an example of the 3rd scenario, this compilation actually improves on the originals. Besides a gracefully written introduction by Chris Ryall, this volume includes end-notes that are worth the price of admission. Besides annotations for "Easter Eggs", a cover gallery and artist sketches, there is a dramatis personae listing in the back. All of this is on top of a story that managed to justify my comics-habit for a few months. Buy, and read, this book.
Grade: A Thank you Chris Ryall, Chris Mowry and Alex Milne.

Huh. 86 said it was good too, so I might have to go ahead and see if I can pick this up.

Actually I'll just add it to my Amazon wishlist, hell with it.

I would get it. Do not leave it for someone else to get for you.

Not often, I'll say that.

I'd buy it myself, but cashflow and suchlike. Plus, Christmas is all Coming Up and I'm sure if nobody buys it for me, I can just buy it myself. The Amazon wishlist is mostly just a list of Crap I Want And Will Probably Eventually Buy At Some Point Anyway, so.

I've read the individual issues, but do not own them - this I would like to own. Must raid nearby comic shop after allowing time for it to ship.
