I have almost all the Alternators, three Masterpiece jets, Megatron, Prime, and an assortment of Movie crap to truly complicate the procedure. One does not truly grow to detest the time it takes to transform Alts until one has to transform twenty of them at once.

Movie Leader toys.....eeek.

This is actually one of the reasons I store my toys in alternate mode, just so they are already partly packed if need be.

Hey, Leader Prime's transformation is actually fun and intriguing--if I recall right, we all praised that toy when it came out. Or at least the good bits. (Wrists, man! Why does he have no wrists?!)

Megs, though, yulch. This kinda stuff is precisely why I chucked my Alternators as-is into a seperate box and didn't worry about it.

Prime is fun as a relaxed fiddle. But, when under duress, transforming Prime is very much a chore.

There's that, I suppose. It's funny, this paradoxical form of ours. We want complex transformations that are still intuitive and feel familiar but aren't identical to ones we've gotten already, and occasionally we 'do' get something like that, and then we bitch that they're too complex and annoying since we're in a hurry. Irony!

This is why Basics rule. I miss Basics.

The problem with "Alternators" is that the toys get in their own way while transforming, leading to redundant steps. A complex transform that consists of one-way moves is ideal.

Argh, the stress. I'm trying to pack all my crap up, still need to find someone to move into the room at the old flat, and am dodging the old flatmates and other dramas. Urge to have nervous breakdown..rising..
