I got some nice Christmas stuff:
A nice scarf, which I've barely taken off since I got it.
Socks! Lots of them in assorted bright colors. One pair is partially cashmere, even. My feet are fancy.
Pistachios
Spicy Cajun peanuts!
A couple cans of mixed nuts
Some REALLY good tequila
Blackberry moonshine (I'm normally morally opposed to flavored whiskey, but this is pretty tasty)
12 pack of Guiness
A whole slew of the beers my brother in law makes. He's a chemical engineer by trade, so ol'boy knows how to brew some beer
The newest Avatar comic
A nice new wallet
Several pairs of comfy pajamas. The best set has Cookie Monster all over it.
Cool book to write stupid jokes in
and a completely awesome new coffee grinder.
I am a lucky dude.

Yeah I know. But I was still shocked and amazed that I found it. Actually, I'm always shocked and amazed when I find things. I guess I'm so used to Sacramento being a toy desert that when anything I want is found, it's like a Christmas miracle. Also, I was super shocked to see anything from Combiner Wars. Didn't expect anything from that to show up until around March. At the earliest. Still, I didn't still have the previous Windcharger so I got this one.BWprowl wrote:You know this isn't the difficult-to-find Basic from a year or so back, right? It's a new Legends-scale toy retooled from the somewhat-cruddy Tailgate we got earlier this year. I kind of really hate the look of this one, the old one was about a bazillion times better (and could actually be had pretty cheaply on eBay the last time I checked, to the point that I didn't even bother trying to sell the spare I wound up with there).Shalkwave wrote:and Windcharger because holy fuck I actually found Windcharger.

Last toy of the year for me, I believe. I like third season G1, I like bright pink warrior robots, and I like female robots. Of course I bought Arcee. I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket and ran across her, so it had to happen.

Re: December Hauls!
Last haul of the year did, in fact, make it here on the last day of the year. Box from AmiAmi:
figma Racing Miku 2013 EV Mirai Ver. - Despite my undeniable weabooitude, I'm not super-sweet on the Vocaloids, and less so on their immortal leader, Ms. Hatsune. But turn her into a badass bike racer and release a kickass action figure of it? Sure. Now I gotta dig out some TF bikes she can ride, since I'm sure as hell not shelling out for the EX: Ride version of her actual bike.
SH Figuarts Kamen Rider ZO - The ZO movie is just Kamen Rider in its purest form, it's quintessential. I like ZO himself and his wonderfully basic design for the same reason. He's already great as just a generic Rider to have to mess with on my desk. And coming with the 'I Understand' grasshopper, from the best/most inexplicable part of the movie? Icing.
Revoltech Evangelion Mass-Production Type - We've all got our favorite Eva units, and mine's the Production Model from the End of Eva movie. These things make one hell of an impression in their scene, and this latest re-release of the Revoltech figure packs ALL of their accessories into a 'complete' release, including multiple extra heads and hands (including 'battle damage'), the wings and backpack to attach them, and the blade weapon PLUS the Lance of Longinus. It's actually bigger, sturdier, and nicer than I was expecting, and the Revoltech joints work as wonderfully as ever. Plus hey, what better way to ring in 2015 than with an Evangelion toy?
