Hayate X Blade vol. 1, because I just can't go a month without Yuri manga, apparently.

Combat Heroes, wave 1.

None of these approaches the level of "wrongness" of the (so far unreleased) "Ultimate" Hulk figure and the Carnage/Ben Reilly pack. But, all of these packs have some evenly distributed morbidity to them.

Duke/Cobra Infantryman
Roadblock/Cobra Commander
Snake-eyes/Zartan
Bazooka/Firefly

I will be reviewing these in some detail in the next week or so, likely in my blog.

Payday and a day off yesterday, always a winning combo.

- New shirt with snazzy retro 60s battery powered plastic toy robots. Says "Operation: Annihilate the future" and has said robots shooting people with their laser eyes, "Earth AD Future Kill". very cool. Is it just me, or have actual TF shirts become too commonplace now?
- Spiffy jersey-jacket-thing. It's like a multi-weave jersey, but with a zip, and lined. On super-clearance too, hooray for end of season.

New CDs:

- Pain: Psalms of Extinction
- Jimmy Chamberlin Complex: Life Begins Again
- Swans: The Burning World

Hooray, more Swans. Must..own..all Swans albums..*stares vacantly* At least this one is actually very musical, and not just a brutal assault on the ears and mind. Contains a charmingly dirgy track called God Damn The Sun that I've liked for some years prior to owning the album.

And today:

- Jim Beam duvet and pillowcase cover set. It is breeeellient. Had eyed it before, but then it went on sale at 25% off.
- A thirty freakin' five dollar pillow. So..comfy..so..expensive. Stupid pillow. *mutters*

Sliiiightly? I always assume anyone actually wearing a TF shirt is at least a casual fan and would know characters beyond Prime, Soundwave, Megs and Starscream. (Interesting that in the top four most recognizable TFs, three are Decepticons. Huh.) That, and there 'is' a reasonable amount of kickass TF-related shirtery around. There's my kickass DW-style military lineart one, my blue Soundwave one, the Grimlock one, and Megatron For President. And that's not even counting faction logo shirts I have...

Eh, whatever.

This may be one of the stupidest things you've ever purchased.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

I buy pretty much every cool TF shirt I find, but I also tend to wear 'em out, so I guess that means I'm not buying too many. Now to justify my excessive toy buying...

Tell them it's just a phase! ;p

I got "Irregular Hunter X" (Japanese version of a 3D update of the original Megaman X), and it is abso-fucking-lutely BOSS. Play as Vava? Episode-length anime prelude? Rearranged soundtrack? YIS PLS

Also dug out my copy of Mega Man Zero 4 on GBA, and am getting stuck into that again. Am I on a Rockman kick...? Ahuhhh.
COME TO TFVIEWS oh you already did

Transformers Armada Vol. 1- While their own stuff is fair-to-middlin', IDW is quickly becoming my reprint heroes. Between the Best of UK stuff, the Marvel G1 collections, the MTMTE trade, and now this sucker, I'm quite happy with them. Call me crazy, but I really liked the introductory arc of the Armada comics. And is it the Moonbase storyline that's next? I dunno, I heard that was really good.

Sentinel Prime. Man this face sculpt is amazing, plus he's THE TICK.

I have yet to find a Swoop, but seeing as how my $7.77 buying has gone unchecked, I'm considering picking up a blackarachnia. I mean, why not, right? She's a shelf warmer though, so I was wondering what you guys thought of her.

I own BA. She is alright. Probably the best BA toy we've ever had, regardless of continuity, and she 'does' have a fun grappling hook. I dunno, I'm let down by Animated in general.
