Re: Star Trek
Hi-res images of the U.S.S. Vengeance are online, which is the starship that Benedict Cumberbatch's character is seen using to battle the Enterprise in the newest trailers. I think it's a bit odd looking for a Starfleet design personally. There is a cut out portion of the middle of the saucer section, around the bridge. And the engineering section looks almost more Klingon in design to me.

Yeah I agree it looks weird.

Re: Star Trek
Looks like a stealth ship. Meant to go behind Klingon lines or something? Starfleet command did something that turned Harrison against them, and made him decide to go renegade. Should be interesting to see the story play out.

An image of a Klingon with out the ridiculous helmet has finally showed up. Looks to be somewhat reminiscent of how the Klingons appeared in The Motion Picture.

Re: Star Trek
I've read at least once that they couldn't decide on the look from the original series and the look for the Klingons that they used from TMP onward. Looks like they tried to go for a middle ground, with a less pronounced forhead ridge. Looks fine to me.
I'm just glad they got rid of the Romulan brow-ridges in the last movie. I never did like those.

Re: Star Trek
I think there should be some facial hair but that could just be that particular Klingon. Either way I'm cool with it.

I liked the brow-ridges. Made them look a little more distinct from the Vulcans.andersonh1 wrote:I'm just glad they got rid of the Romulan brow-ridges in the last movie. I never did like those.

Re: Star Trek
I'd rather they looked exactly like Vulcans since the two are distant cousins anyway. I liked the Romulans from the original series who didn't all have the same Vulcan bowl cut too.Sparky Prime wrote:I liked the brow-ridges. I never quite figured out how Spock could blend in on Romulus when he looked different from everyone else.

Re: Star Trek
I know they're distant cousins, but I like the idea that the Romulans could have evolved to look a little different, having left Vulcan and settled on another planet hundreds of years ago.andersonh1 wrote:I'd rather they looked exactly like Vulcans since the two are distant cousins anyway. It seemed to me like he spent most of his time in the underground.I never quite figured out how Spock could blend in on Romulus when he looked different from everyone else.

Re: Star Trek
The separate development makes sense, and I don't really have any strong feelings or argument against the brow ridges. I just prefer the original look.
