Upcoming Classics figures

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Drag Strip is ehhn, too yellow, the red's intrusive and he needed more purple. Pass. Overkill I love, snazzy homage and colour scheme. G1Scream, weell, he's neater than the Henkei release, and will go well with Henkei Thundy and Skywarp, as Dom mentioned. Hooray for two sets of Seekers.

Hound irks me, as he was completely unecessary after the Alternator and the Legend. Ravage sells him, though. And yes, Ravage fits in G1 Soundwave. He does appear to lack articulation, more's the pity, and doesn't really resemble a cassette.

On the other hand, this is Hound in an aesthetic where there are more Autobots than say, in the Legends line. (And, all "Legends" ever serves to do is make me want a full-sized TF, which may be what Hasbro is playing to here.)

Knowing that Ravage is compatible with Soundwave sells me on that set; my Encore Soundwave only came with Laserbeak, so I've been needing a Ravage.

Also, on Universe Dinobot: Yes and yes! Hopefully they got his robot mode to work out better than that upcoming Cheetor's, but I have faith in them. Now let's see a decent Rattrap, Hasbro! And aw hell, a new Quickstrike while you're at it!

Dinobot looks pretty good. The face is a dead ringer for the cartoon version. Unfortunately, the robot arms are visible under the dinosaur chest in beast mode, but they blend far better than the feet do on the original. The dino legs and feet become robot legs and feet, at least from what I can tell at this point.

I'm anxious to see Hot Shot, myself. I love the little retard.

I am waiting for Hotshot. I will take a look at Dinobot and Cheetor though.

Mm, yeah, Smokescreen. Part of me is simply 'compelled' to own all three PBS in this mould. Despite already owning the Bluestreak reissue. Yes.

I'll nab Dinobot if he doesn't suck, and unless Cheetor turns out to be 'really' mistransformed, I'll pass.

Tformers has some new images of Brawn.

I have to say, the basic figure looks ok, but I hope this isn't the final color scheme. I don't care for the green wheels or the black face. I hope we're seeing something of a prototype picture here. Otherwise, I'm enthused. Brawn was my first Transformer ever, as far as I remember, so I'm happy to see another version. I don't like the higher prices for Legends, but I may end up getting a few of them anyway.

Cheetor.

Well... it's better than the original, but then that wouldn't be too hard. Not a big fan of this one, to be honest.

Cyclonus:

Not bad at all. It's a good remake, and the fact that we get Nightstick, making this Targetmaster Cyclonus, is icing on the cake. He'll go well with Universe Galvatron and Titanium Scourge.

Hound:

Looks very good. The face is closer to the original than the Alternators version too. I'm really looking forward to this one. And take a look at the packaging picture for a good look at Ravage. It'll be interesting to have a new cassette bot after all this time. I'm curious to see how they work the transformation scheme.

Cyclonus' "jet" mode makes me sad. The original wasn't so gosh darn lumpy, and hardly seems to have a vastly different transformation scheme.

Agreed on Brawn's colour scheme. Possibly disagreed on his base mould, though... the more I look at him, the more PLAYSKOOL (yeah yeah) he looks. =/
COME TO TFVIEWS oh you already did
