MP TF's should get released in 2 different toy sizes

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

The head looks nothing like Animated Grimlock's, who just had that weird Trap-Jaw ripoff thing that half the guys on Animated had for some reason.

The chest has grown on me. At first I hated it, but if any one TF was going to be drawn by Rob Liefeld, it'd be Grimlock.

I wasn't saying they had similar robot head sculpts. I was saying they both have UGLY robot head sculpts.

There was a lot of bad things about Grimlock, but his beast mode isn't one of them. Doom-Lock isn't held back by being Godzilla '98, the same way Grimlock isn't held back by being a Berserk Fuhrer.
Man, I actually liked that Classics Grimlock did something different transformation-wise for once, instead of the same damn Grimlock transformation we'd gotten in G1 Grimlock, Energon Grimlock, hell even Animated and FoC Grimlock after him did the same thing. I like that ClaGrims gets to be more unique.

All this talk about how crappy Classics Grimlock was, what was so bad about it? The dinosaur feet hanging off the arms is a bad point, but otherwise there's nothing really *wrong* with the toy that I'm aware of. If you don't like the tail as a weapon, you can just have it hang off his back, the same way every other Grimlock's dinosaur head does.

Had 1.0 Grimlock been Voyager sized probably more would have liked the toy. The hasbro colors on this toy further ruin it. the takara colors with vacumized parts make the mold look hundreds of times better.

Had Takara's henkei Grimlock been Voyager sized,I would have liked it better than FOC Grimlock.

Both the FOC & 1.0 Grimlock toys have their trade off's,1.0 is too small,FOC is more uglier sculpted.

He's pretty tiny. I hated the way his arms worked. His weapons sucked ass. His legs didn't work the way you expected them to. The whole thing looked very..."thin," which isn't really how Grimlock should be.

I mean, on the scale of Grimlocks, he's pretty up there. But I don't regret getting rid of mine now.

I like Classics Grimlock. I like the deco on Henkei better, but I don't really see any problems with either one. MP is great if you want the ultimate G1 version, but that's not what Classics is going for. Classics is going for G1... ish. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind tracking down Overkill now at some point. I hardly ever use the tail weapon, usually hang it off the back like Prowl mentioned. I do wish the "gun" had another peg to hold the weapon like a sword.

Well, except for everything. Having the tail in that Zoids-style segmented design ensured it couldn't be used as legs, and that cascaded into everything else. And needing a leaner dino torso also greatly affected the design. His beast mode dictated the flaws in bot mode.

Cruellock BARELY transforms at all.

Well, he's not in any way big, he's got a small torso, unimpressive arms and legs, arms that are proportionally not stubby so he doesn't look powerful, got that stupid post sticking out of the dino back, the modern dino proportions aren't as impressive and don't look good in the classic pose, 4 screw bosses facing forward on the shoulders, the aforementioned dino feet dumped under the forearms, the uninspired gunblade, it's a deluxe, and there's the awfulness of the mis-designed collar that won't lock down so the shoulders won't lock down either. He's just disappointing as a toy overall, much less as a Grimlock.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?
