"Fall of Cybertron" comic

No noses? No problem! Zombiebots? Sure, why not. A confusing new canon that allows loose and contradictory material? And now a new sequel show with an entirely different art style that takes place way in the future!

"Fall of Cybertron" comic

Post by Dominic »

I left this in my pull box at the comic shop. I plan to pick it up in the next week or so.

Barber wrote it. Some other guy drew it.

Anyone here read it already?

I saw this on the shelf and left it there. I'm not terribly interested in Fall of Cybertron, the Aligned universe, yet another god damn Dinobots story, or things Barber writes, so this was an easy skip for me.

At least let the guy finish his run on RiD before you cut him off. (Seriously, if I dropped books because they did not go the way I thought they would go, especially mid-run, I would have been out of comics years ago.)

I'm not dropping it because it didn't go the way I wanted it to, I'm dropping it because it turned to shit. You've done that with plenty of comics before.

I will leave this until Barber is done with "Robots in Disguise". But, I am 90% sure that this is going to leave the faction lines more blurred. (The fact that nobody realized that Prowl was mind controlled shows how far gone he was before the mind control was an issue. That is probably kind of the point that Barber was making.)

Oh, come on. Even Dom briefly considered picking MTMTE back up as soon as he heard there was actual plot again.

My problem with MTMTE was the over-all tone of the book. I was getting annoyed with that, and the shipping element just put me off of it entirely. There were some good elements to Roberts' writing. But, he was world-building and showing characters....despite having no real ideas for the setting or the characters. (The suicide clinics alone would have been worth an arc or two.)

The shipping is in your head. And I still maintain that you really need to find a way to distance yourself from the opinions and/or idiotic rantings of the more vapid parts of the fandom. Avoiding sites like Allspark would go a long way towards that. I have only ever gone on there a couple times, briefly, usually just long enough to know that these are not the types of fans I want associate with.

Personally,I Dropped all IDW TF Comics due to a extremly bad 2011 TF Comic books year. The Choas saga was pure awful. Having Bumblebee still as the supreme leader of the autobots for 2+years running is just horrible.

My plan is to wait until 2014,Then go on-line to amazon.com & buy all the IDW TF G-1 comics from 2012 thru 2014 in those cheaply priced clearanced Trade paper back. THE PLAN IS TO READ EVERYTHING IN A DAY,SO MY STOMOACH HURTS LESS. Somehow reading these awful comics on a monthly basis & waiting each month is just more painful, due to the writers & artist being so incompetent & lacking talent & not doing the proper 1980's back reserach on the characters, plots & origins.

Everything about this paragraph makes me want to kill myself.
