I think if I had my pick of Titan-sized characters, I'd go for Omega Supreme. I'm not a big fan of the Energon remake, and I'd prefer a new version of the G1 original. Make him really massive, as the character's name and size suggest he should be. I'd really enjoy that.

Yeah, I'm trying to make some conscious changes here. At least it's warming up outside so riding my bike will be more plausible.Onslaught Six wrote:I hear that. What the hell is Sheetz?
Aaaaand I'm an idiot.Amazon has free shipping on orders over $25.

Sheetz is a local/regional convenience store and fast food place. They have all kinds of amazing shit that other places don't offer, for really cheap. Unfortunately they're only in PA and a few surrounding states. The biggest regional competitor we have is Wawa, which is in some parts of PA and other states around here. But Wawa sucks. Sheetz forever. I also haven't really heard about any regional variations for the west coast--I'd say something like a 7-Eleven but that's national.

Then what was all that talk from you about only being interested in a Titan Trypticon if it had a humanoid form all about?Tigermegatron wrote:Like i've been saying in this Thread, please everyone read my replies,I think the proper place for a new mold Trypticon toy is as a $29.99 Cyber-verse play set like the DOTM Ark cyber-verse play set.

I liked Trypticon in WFC but its design is too much for me, I'd want something that crosses the G1 with that, something that's recognizably Transformers-y in robot mode with real weapons, not 100% origami folds and purple lights. The WFC design has mobility and scale so that's what I'd want to take away from that.Sparky Prime wrote:Why would it need a humanoid form for it to have loads of articulation? I don't understand why you seem to think they wouldn't be able to do that with a dinosaur form as well. I mean, look at the WFC version of Trypticon. If they went with something like that design, they could very easily give it as much posability as a MP figure, if not more so.Tigermegatron wrote:At the very least giving Titan sized Trypticon a Robot mode would allow Takara to cram in loads of poseable joints & make it almost MP Level of poseabilty.
A humanoid robot mode for Trypticon would make it a generic character rather than something much more Decepticon. There's no humanoid mode for Ravage or Laserbeak either, sometimes rampaging beasts are what separate the Decepticons from the Autobots.
The "majority" are his personal beliefs. You're exactly right, I'm one of those fans who normally wouldn't be into something like Trypticon and yet even I chose Trypticon as the figure I'd like to see next based on what it is, not what it isn't. They didn't just rip off the FOC design to make the new, awesome-looking Metroplex, they made sure to stay true to the elements of the G1 figure that worked best, and if they can do that there they could easily do the same for Trypticon. What majority are you talking about? The majority of fans I've seen have said they'd love to see a new Trypticon figure like that. That same link I posted above has plenty of such fans saying exactly that, not to mention several people here. And Takara/Hasbro's engineers are very good at what they do to pull off a lot of the Transformers designs they've created over the years. I see no reason to doubt that they could come up with a great Trypticon figure.I & the majority won't be interested in spending $125+ for a Titan Trypticon that transformed from T-Rex,then into a space ship mode then into a city mode. I don't even think it's possible for such a toy to transform back & forth into these modes,at best they'd all look like garbage & have excessible kibble on them from the other modes.
I'm torn here, I had the original Omega Supreme as a kid and didn't really love him, he was fun for a few minutes but then became a bore. The Energon figure I still have and don't really love, it's good but not great, the revisit fixes a few things but can't address the lame altmodes completely. If I were to see another Omega Supreme I hate to say it but I think I'd want it to be TF: Animated-based.andersonh1 wrote:I think if I had my pick of Titan-sized characters, I'd go for Omega Supreme. See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Personally,I think the Two best "NEXT" Titan sized TF toy choices are Fortress Maximus & Omage Supreme. Obviously I want both of them in their 1980's G-1 toy/media forms. I'm simply not a fan of radical update homages for G-1 character toys/media. I don't want to see the IDW NOR WFC/FOC media forms in 30th titan toy form.JediTricks wrote:I'm torn here, I had the original Omega Supreme as a kid and didn't really love him, he was fun for a few minutes but then became a bore. I'd opt to release a Titan fort max before a titan omega supreme. both will get titan toys but I want to see/buy a fort max one first.

Animated was a good version, I agree, but on the other hand I also got G1 Omega Supreme as a kid, and I loved the figure. I used to enjoy leaving him in rocket base mode, and all the other Autobots would hide inside and use the tracks as cover to shoot at attacking Decepticons. When he was fighting in robot mode he'd turn his head around like Omega did in The Golden Lagoon so he had three guns going at once. Fun stuff.JediTricks wrote:I'm torn here, I had the original Omega Supreme as a kid and didn't really love him, he was fun for a few minutes but then became a bore. I think if they did a Titan-class Omega Supreme, I'd want the G1 version. I think the track would have to be somewhat more compact than the original, otherwise it would take up half the room. I can't really see Hasbro making a Transformer like that though. For anyone who has Omega Supreme or remembers him, the figure is assembled from a lot of large and small pieces. The tank-railway becomes the legs and wings, the rocket becomes the arms, and the rocket launcher becomes the feet and backpack. It's not a single figure that goes from one mode to another like most Transformers, it's a central tank figure and lots of pieces that attach and detach. I like the unique approach, but admittedly that's a lot of parts for a kid to lose (though I managed not to lose any of them when I was a kid). Then again, they make what are essentially Lego Transformers, so why not a main-line figure?
I've got the Korean release of RID Fort Max, and that suits me just fine, so I'm in no rush to get another version.Tigermegatron wrote:I'd opt to release a Titan fort max before a titan omega supreme. both will get titan toys but I want to see/buy a fort max one first.

I love how the size class was just barely announced a month ago and Deathy is already predicting that it'll have a half dozen figures.I'd opt to release a Titan fort max before a titan omega supreme. both will get titan toys but I want to see/buy a fort max one first.

For me, Fort Max is the most boring design possible, there is nothing clever or interesting about his robot mode except that it's big and things pop out of it here and there. But the figure itself was never anything special to me, so it's certainly not something I'd want to return to. It's now also smaller than the new Metroplex, so to come back to that would make it "My Size Barbie" height, too big for a Transformer.Tigermegatron wrote:Personally,I think the Two best "NEXT" Titan sized TF toy choices are Fortress Maximus & Omage Supreme. Omega Supreme in G1 form makes no sense at all, a rocket base that flies away inside the rocket it just fired and then magically a tank drives out of the rocket when it lands and turns into a robot torso. Oh, and then half the track is not attached to the robot mode so it just lays there.
Rocket base mode had an "inside"? You mean inside the track ring, right? Because the base itself didn't have an interior, there really wasn't much to it.andersonh1 wrote:Animated was a good version, I agree, but on the other hand I also got G1 Omega Supreme as a kid, and I loved the figure. Do you still have Omega? That track took up less space than you remember, I think 2.5' across on the long end and a foot the other way. He sure was kreoformed though, and only his arms could move.I think if they did a Titan-class Omega Supreme, I'd want the G1 version. Yeah, like I've said, I doubt they could do Trypticon exactly like they did in WFC. High Moon Studio's clearly took some liberties with characters ability to transform seeing how several of the toys have had to cheat a bit for their transformations to work, like having extra fake tires to complete the look of the robot mode. I was just using that design to illustrate that Trypticon doesn't have to have a humanoid form to have a ton of articulation. If they were to make a toy, I'd like to see a design that is more of a cross between WFC and G1 Trypticon myself, similar to what they did with Metroplex, as a way to update the character's design and make it somewhat unique at the same time.JediTricks wrote:I liked Trypticon in WFC but its design is too much for me, I'd want something that crosses the G1 with that, something that's recognizably Transformers-y in robot mode with real weapons, not 100% origami folds and purple lights. Well there are some beast Autobots as well, but I totally agree with your point. It would take away from Trypticon's uniqueness if they gave him a humanoid form.A humanoid robot mode for Trypticon would make it a generic character rather than something much more Decepticon. Yeah, that was a rhetorical question. The "majority" are his personal beliefs.
