Kreo Mirage replacement head TFP Thundertron.

No noses? No problem! Zombiebots? Sure, why not. A confusing new canon that allows loose and contradictory material? And now a new sequel show with an entirely different art style that takes place way in the future!

Kreo Mirage replacement head TFP Thundertron.

Kreo Mirage replacement head TFP Thundertron.

For those un-aware,Various internet TF fans used the basic sized Kreo Optimus Prime robot head as a replacement head for TFP Voyager Thundertron. Various internet TF fans did'nt like the ugly thundertron robot head so they replaced it with a more beautiful optimus prime kreo head. this kinda made sense as the thundertron toy resembles BW second Lio Convoy.

Last night I went to a store & found+bought a basic sized Kreo Mirage for $4.00. I bought it as a head replacement for Voyager Thundertron. The mirage head worked for the Thundertron toy because the Kreo build it robot heads are extremly over sized.

The ball jointed neck on the Thundertron robot body needs to be built up a bit to give it a extra layer or two to make the Kreo basic sized robot heads not be that loose when they attach to thundertron's neck joint. this can be easily done using crazy glue, clear nail polish, silicone clear rubber glue or clear or cloth tape. use clear or cloth tape it you want to reverse the process & put the ugly original thundertron robot head back on the toy in the future.

Personally the Kreo basic sized Mirage head,I think looks great on the TFP Voyager thundertron toy. the mirage head color matches the thuindertron toy colors perfectly. the kro mirage head sculpt has these robotic side burns or ears that sorta resembles a beast lions mane. the inner face sculpt for kreo mirage looks great on thundertron. All in all a perfect simple custom kitbash. that didn't involve harming the base toy by cutting any plastic pieces not painting anything.

Bro, where's your taste at? 'Ugly'? Thundertron's head looks like a grizzled, bearded pirate captain, complete with a hat-ish embellishment on top. It's perfect!

...please tell me you get that Thundertron's supposed to be a pirate, right?

I realize theirs some media fiction that has thundertron being a pirate. However I still think the TFP Thundertron robot head looks bad. I'm never a fan of ugly designed robot heads. I hate the majority of the TF live action Movie verse robot head designs because their so ugly.

I & other internet TF fans just don't think that bearded pirate robot head matches the yothful lion beast modes designs for the TFP Thundertron toy. it's like day & night or young & old.

I honestly hate it when their is a beautiful TF robot toy designed ruined by a ugly robot head.

How is the lion mode 'youthful'? It's a dang robot lion. Meanwhile, the head compliments the robot body perfectly, being that the robot has a pirate's longcoat tails, not to mention the peg-leg. He's hardcore pirate all over, you can see it in the toy, it's not just something you'd only know about from reading it in passing in the fiction.

I dunno, I just don't see the head as 'ugly'. The hat looks sharp, the beard fits the design well, it all works together.

I & other internet TF fans actually bought Two TFP Voyager Thundertron toys. For the sole purpose of swapping out & getting rid of the peg pirate leg gimmick. So mine & others THundertron toys now have two reguar robot legs miniys the pirate peg leg gimmick.

I view the Thundertron toy robot waist side flaps bits & back bits as samurai type armor like TM2 Tigerhawk & Fuzor silverbolt have.

See, now this really confuses me. You don't need to swap legs to get rid of the peg leg, you could just leave the foot on whenever you transform him to robot mode, they specifically designed him to let you do this if you wanted. Moreover, why would you want to? The kickass pirate motif is basically Thundertron's whole selling point. Do you have some beef with pirates, Tig? Did a sailing band of ne'er-do-wells hijack your family's schooner when you were but a lad and leave you terrified and scarred for life, your sworn revenge against those blasted pirates being the only feeling that kept you going for all these years?

Also find it curious you keep prefacing these with "me and other TF fans", like you need fandom-public validation for the things you do with your toy. You don't need to convince me that public opinion is that Thundertron somehow looks better stripped of his whole defining motif and reduced to looking like a plain ol' Transformer robot, I'm only interested in why *you* did it!

Yes,I realize their is a transforimg pirate peg leg gimmick on the toy. I realize buyers have the option of using the peg leg or not. However the peg leg bits are still visible on the toy. I just wanted to get rid of this all together.

For me it's TF toy beauty first & I could care less about media.

I don't hate pirates

I don't buy TF toys based off super rare low quality or exclusiveness. I also don't care to be a completist. I am not obsessed with buying every TF toy that appears in the cartoon or movie. if the toy is ugly then i'll never buy it. I only buy a handful of Hasbro TF toys per year & their all toys I really like & think were made superior/beautiful.

I can seperate the media fiction from the toy. I don't feel the need to buy a TF toy because the Media persona was awesome. I can enjoy a decent media TF Persona & resist buying a ugly/inferior TF toy.
