No, I meant the co-op. You can do the single player storyline with people alongside you, playing the two teammates you're not playing. It doesn't alter the (barely existant) storyline, either.BWprowl wrote:Eh, didn't really think to ask. Plus it's just my first time through the single-player, I figured I might as well see what that's like before I jump into getting mercilessly slaughtered in the multiplayer (one reason I tend to avoid shooters is that I'm just so *bad* at them, reminds me exactly how worthless I would be in a real firefight).Onslaught Six wrote:At least three of you are around who have the game now. Why aren't you playing it together? I don't think I ever really played the game without at least one other person on my side. (The lack of co-op is the major reason I'm not very excited about FoC.)
Who else has it? Mako and Shocky, yeah? Mako, you're here, what times would you be on?
I don't know why they don't have it! It sucks, and I complained, and was basically told to suck it up.Wait, FoC doesn't have co-op? Why would they cut that out after the first one had it? I thought all shooters were required by law to have co-op these days. Of course, they've also been phasing out split-screen (which is monumentally stupid now that we're in an era where televisions are larger and high-definition enough that split-screen could work *well*) so I really shouldn't be surprised. It's gonna be nothing but online Horde Mode deathmatches from now on!
Spoiler
I flippin' hate Horde Mode and everything it's done to video games.
And Horde Mode doesn't work like that at all; Horde Mode (Escalation in WFC) is basically Endless Enemies Come After Group Of Co-Op Players. THAT will presumably stick around in FoC (it's one of the most popular multiplayer modes in WFC) but the campaign co-op is gone. Deathmatch and Horde Mode is totally different.
