Hasbro destroys third party companies by being way better

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Sure, it's not Devastator (yet) but if this is a success, who the hell knows?

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

It cannot possibly be worse than that combiner they released in 2009.

One thing I liked about Animated was how it used physique, facial expressions, accessories and other subtle cues (ques?) to bring out a character's personality.

This Swindle may as well be named "Smashcrush" or "Blastcar". Where's the sneaky arms dealer look?? I thought we were getting somewhere. Sigh.

...Still, as Dom said, things can only get better.

Have you seen the 2009 "Revenge of the Fallen" Devastator?

$100 got you 6 vehicles that turned in to parts of a large robot. It failed on so many levels it was almost worth buying for the same reason that BW Bantor was. And, it was the center-piece of the line.

I admit that this makes me waver on giving up toys this year.

Yup, it was pants. Hence why I agreed with you.

Hey, didn't you sell me my Bantor? Huh.

If it's cool enough, I hope it won't be rare or exclusive or anything awful. I have a serious weakness for combiners.

Except the 2009 Devastator. That was just... just terrible.

Maybe. But, you asked for it. Bantor was small and fiddly. RotF Devastaor was huge, cumbersome and....just awful. It did not even look like the movie. Hell, it did not even have the right number of components.

This Bruticus might actually be worth getting though. And, we know that Hasbro has all the names.....

Strength? Dude... I might get this thing, and the only TFs I even bought last year were Generations Warpath and Kup.
