There ya go.
All I really need are Tracks and Perceptor! Surely they're reasonable. (And, maybe, Wreck-Gar.)

By the by, I have secured a Garrple.
Also e-haul: Downloaded MegaMan 10 on the 360. I love how 10 titles into the series the game play is exactly the same. I would have thought some changes to graphics, sound, movement, etc.. but no, it's just as epically 8 bit as ever. And that's awesome.
MM9 actually went 'backwards' in the series. MM could no longer charge the Mega Buster nor slide. Not that I minded.

Y'know the RTS/Generations I've seen have been from that wave, want me to scout around see what I can find?

I kinda liked the dash from X and X2, but I am still a sucker for the old school control anyway so I ain't complainin'.

Following this tip, I hit up my TRU to see if there were any Thundercats there, and...there were! All over, as a matter of fact, pretty much everything except the Classic figures, which is fine because I don't care about those, I'm in this for toys of the new versions (the cartoon's only a few episodes old and I'm already thoroughly enjoying it). That said, I did quite a bit of waffling upon having the toys in front of me. Initially, I'd been certain I only wanted the 6 inch toys, since early photos of the 4 inch guys were less than inspiring. However, once I saw them, they didn't look too bad, and it was especially tempting to just grab the whole team since they were right there. But the 6 inchers looked really nice, so I figured I'd grab Lion-O because if I'm going to restrain myself and just 'try out' the line, it might as well be him, and I decided I wanted Mumm-Ra too, since he just looks unbelievably badass (Panthro looks cool too, but I thoroughly expect him to shelfwarm, honestly). Then I scanned them and found out that TRU wanted eighteen goddamn dollars for these things! So I ended up with just Lion-O. And let me tell you...he just might be worth that eighteen dollars, despite being just a 6 inch figure. This toy is WAY beyond what I would expect from a Bandai of America product. Lion-O's practically got Figuarts-level articulation, with double knees and elbows, and ankle rockers, and wrist hinges that let him do cool stuff with his sword. Plus he comes with powered-up and -down versions of his sword and claw shield, and the little sword can actually store inside of the shield, and the shield can swap out with his hand in either mode, or store on his hip like it's supposed to, or holy crap did they put some effort into this toy. My *only* complaint is that they went with the trademark Stupid Visible Black Bandai Joints, but even those are excusable with how much articulation/posability they crammed into this thing. I definitely think I need that Mumm-Ra now, if he's even remotely as good as this. Will probably wait for these to show up at another store where they'll be cheaper though. Do we even know who's in the next wave of these? I badly hope they do a Tygra. The whole team would be great, actually, lest I have to get the 4 inch toys anyway just to get a complete setup.
Onslaught Six wrote:I really, really hate how the MMPR fandom handles this shit, though. Did you know they didn't even know we were getting a new Megazord for the MMPR relaunch line until 'it was on store shelves?' Get on the ball, you fuckers.
I wonder if it's because the PR fandom is less toy-focused than, say, us. I mean, PR toys aren't exactly famous for being good, so I can't see a lot of people enthusiastic about getting them. I mean, that New Megazord was hardly worth any hubbub in the first place. Compare this with the Kamen Rider fandom, who can tell you exactly when and where the next SH Figuarts goes on sale and how many they have pre-ordered, or even the Super Sentai fandom, who've been going crazy over future waves of Gokaiger's Ranger Keys. If you want people to care about your series' toys, you have to actually make cool toys.

Yes, definitely! I have everybody else I want.

The dash was infinitely more useful than the slide; also it was more of an X thing than a Classic thing.

Anyway! Garappel came in last night. He's pretty badass; glad I finally hunted one down. He doesn't have any wrist articulation, it doesn't even look like his wrists are a seperate piece, so it's impossible to take one out and replace it with a missile from G1 Grapple like I was planning. Damn! This makes it so Grapple basically has 'no weapons at all.'

This is very true. It's just...sad, I dunno.

BBTS has MU Spider-Man 2099 for $3 right .
Be wary of the paint work on that one.
Just get Reed and Ben, and you can assemble a complete F4 display!
You need Spidey and whatsis face from Poer Pack though. C'mon man.

And, not so much a haul, but a use: My last battery for my current cell-phone. The phone itself is on its way out. So, expect a "new phone" haul soonishly.

Box from ShockTrek! It contained...Classics Skywarp! That's right, the team is finally complete.

But it also containted...ROTF Green Legends Devastator! Minus Rampage! So I can't complete his robot mode. But hey, five itty bitty green Constructicons! Neat.

Woops! I meant to include the whole set, thought Rampage was an extra and now that you mention it my extra Rampage is red not green so... yeah, this oversite will be corrected in the next shipment. With Kup's head or Tracks or Wreck Gar or whatever our next deal winds up being.

Some neat anniversary hauls!

So today, it turns out, was my girlfriend and I's second anniversary, so we made our annual trip to the KC Ethnic Enrichment festival. It's this cool event with foods from all over the world, music from different cultures, just all this neat shit. I drank a glass of Hmong Pumpkin Drink, had some Jamaican curried goat and red beans and rice, and probably some other stuff I don't recall. And watched some belly dancers, checked out a mariachi band, and other stuff besides. It's a good time. As we left, I got some extra goat to go, so now I've got leftover goat! Fuck yeah, goat!

So my girl got me a cool anniversary present. "Alan Moore: Storyteller, which...well, you can guess what it's about. And while I know a lot about his comics work and all, this book was made with Moore's blessing and cooperation, so it's got all kinds of neat shit. Including a CD with a bunch of his music and spoken-word things. It's pretty damn neat.

Way to get your goat Scourge! And congrats on the anniversary.

And yesterday I got MOTUC Man E Faces and the Bizarro vs. Battle Armor Faker 2 pack. I was gonna customize BA Faker but good ol' Mattel has saved me the trouble. Man E is pretty awesome but it's a good thing I'm not a MISB collector or I'd be pissed since the head was tumbling around in the packaging.

Found another one of those multi-movie DVD packs, in this case all three Spider-Man movies in one set for $13. I'd never seen the third one, and hadn't seen the other two in years, so it was a nice find. And takes up less space on my DVD shelves.
