This makes sense, too, I don't know why I didn't think of it. Time Wars *might* be passable, but to understand that story you at least need a working knowledge of the fact that Galvatron and the others are from the future (i.e. Target: 2006).BWprowl wrote:I woulda grabbed one of IDW's UK compilations like Dinobots or Target: 2006. City of Fear might be good too, since I'm biased towards a lot of that story, and the kids these days like the zombies, right?

Re: odd question
I can see how that would be a hard fact to discern, considering that the only mention that they're From The Future once every other panel or so.Onslaught Six wrote:This makes sense, too, I don't know why I didn't think of it. Re: odd question
I have found that "Target: 2006" has not aged well. The more I subtract my being a fan from the equation, the less good that story is. It is not terrible, but.....
I considered getting the Dinobots compilation, but I could not find a correctly sized edition.

Re: odd question
I kinda get what you mean. For all the build-up to it, the resolution of Target: 2006 is downright silly, even if I kind of like the idea of the Autobots acknowledging that Galvatron's just impossible to beat physically, thus mental trickery is the best solution.Dominic wrote:I have found that "Target: 2006" has not aged well. Eh, what'choo'talkin'bout Dom? The copy of Dinobots I own (and the only type I've ever seen) is a full-size 8"x10" copy. Did IDW actually make little-digest sized copies of some of their trades?I considered getting the Dinobots compilation, but I could not find a correctly sized edition.

Re: odd question
Remember, the UK comics were originally printed at magazine size, not standard comic size. The Titan reprints were correctly sized. The IDW editions were too small.

Re: odd question
I recently returned the IDW ones because I already have the originals and the Titan reprints. The size of the IDW ones didn't really bother me though.Dominic wrote:Remember, the UK comics were originally printed at magazine size, not standard comic size.
