I enjoy undestroyed things more though. I assumed that my comics were going to get wrecked when I was a kid, (in the days before discovering storage bags and boards), but I tried to avoid it as best I could.

Gomess' Forbidden Folder of Wonders
Re: Gomess' Forbidden Folder of Wonders
I'm known in my circles for using the term "well-loved" to refer to something that's been destroyed through constant use (book, toy, whatever). Much nicer. =p
COME TO TFVIEWS oh you already did
Re: Gomess' Forbidden Folder of Wonders
Heh, yeah. My copy of UK issue 84 was "well loved" to the point that the cover was falling off and ripped. And the rest of the comic isn't in much better shape. Mostly because that was the last issue before I LEFT THE FREAKIN COUNTRY!!! And of course the teaser for issue 85 has to read "Next issue: The shocking fate of Optimus Prime revealed!" Yeah. Try being a kid and dealing with that for over 13 years. Most of the rest of my UK stuff is in really good shape though.
Re: Gomess' Forbidden Folder of Wonders
That is one of the reason it took me so long to get full on into comics. It was not until I was maybe 11, (and discovered local comic store), that I got heavily in to comics. I could get myself to the store and buy my own books with a small allowannce, rather than waiting for a (hard to plan for) trip to the book store.
