Actually, there does appear to be one, but I get the impression that you have pay Midway extra money to unlock it. Which I think is BS, it should just be included in the game (especially since we're already paying xbl for online ability).
Did you buy it used? Some companies (I know EA does this) are charging for online if you buy used. It's a deterrent, I guess. But MK isn't made by Midway anymore, they went out of business, these are new guys called NetherRealm Studios, and it's published by Warner Bros. still.

Anyway, this is the first I've heard of it so maybe you're reading into something wrongly?

Gosh darn it, stop missing my point. =p It won't EVER be sexy, because poledancing victory pose = bloody stupid. Why doesn't Liu Kang have a victory pose where he burns his pants off with fire and shakes his ass? 'cOs hE's a MaN dURr hUrR tHaT wOn'T sElL gAmEs It's a shame, 'cos there's shit like that in games I like, too.
Give up, G, clearly Shocktrek doesn't mind sacrificing logic for stupid shit. :P
...As for Killer Instinct, the worst thing about it was that it was British. Makes me feel ashamed! ='[ Also the character designs. Spinal in particular makes me laugh. Where are the Argonauts when you need them?
Hey, it was the 90s, man. FULGORE!

In fact, I was vastly disappointed that they didn't tap Rare (who Microsoft literally owns now) and put a KI character in MK9. FULGORE! Or Jago could go in too, I guess, since he's basically just Ken.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Just as long as he knows I don't hold it against him. =3 I enjoy arguing far too much.

I was vastly disappointed (back when I was an impressionable youth) that MK vs KI never happened. Screw DC, Killer Instinct is a MUCH more appropriate crossover property. Dial-a-combos! Light fantasy archetypal characters! Ridiculous SCI-FANTASY plot! Death moves! And, of course, prominent female characters who are secret agents and wear green.

I still have the Word '95 document I knocked out back in the day with my own ideas for MK vs KI, it was gonna be rad. Tag team, naturally. Scorpion and Cinder vs Sub-Zero and Glacius? Why, yes! Tag Team Fatalities? Of course!

It's all good G. I actually do get your point but I guess I was just saying giggity. What? I'm straight, male and single. Most boob I've seen in a long time. :?

... anyway... I actually figured out the online mode last night. Apparently there was a Kombat Kode that came with the game that I missed. I used it last night and got my ass thoroughly handed to me.

And I also played the fatality practice. Yeah, it's awesome. You get to do a fatality for each character without having to play through all those pesky matches.

I can say without irony that I truly believe this will become one of the game's most popular modes.

I know *I* played through UMK3's 8 player tournament mode on my own just to watch the Fatality Demo at the end.

I know right? That thing was awesome! Took like an hour to watch but you got to see just about every finishing move in the game.

It made one of my mates sick. They even included the Brutalities in the version I had, which really stretched out the runtime!

Tournament mode was also a really cheap way to see a character's ending. Sure, the console ports of MK3 just had the character's vs screen portrait and a block of text, but those blocks of text were the reason I played that series.

That'll all change when we all go to BotCon together and party like crazy! The TF fan community hasn't seen such a smouldering stable of studs the likes of the small but perfectly formed TFViews.

Yeah it was epic. The one I have went through both fatalities, friendships, brutalities, animalities and babalities. I was actually able to move laundry along and come back during the babalities and it still wasn't done.

That would be epic if we were all able to go to Botcon at once.

It would be pretty weird, first off, considering we've all gotten to know each other electronically. As Trinacron once pointed out, I'm probably smaller than you think I am, but also suffer from Short Man's Disease. Incidentally, Rumble was one of my favourite G1 characters...

...Heh, and talk of the difference between knowing someone in real life and via digital information brings me right back around to Metal Gear. =p

I've met online people in person a couple of times through ebay and I would even say that some of the peeps here have spilled over into my "real" life. Dom, Scourge and Anderson are all on my fb list and the Onslaughts are both on my xbl friends list and I've had many phone conversations with Dom.

And what's wrong with being short? Many of the greatest characters are short. Look at Yoda! Or Professor Flitwick from Harry Potter. Or Dobby for that matter. I'm just sayin. Short people kick ass.

ESPECIALLY WHEN WE'RE PUSHED

It would be interesting to hear all y'alls different American accents at once, seeing as I'm mostly only exposed to the sames ones on TV and the like. I only recently learned the stereotypical New England accent. I mean, there's loads of accents in the UK, there must be even more over there! But all movies and video games give me is like the same three.
