What if Takara/Hasbro just released 10 MP TF toys per year.

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

If I see one, I'll pick one up and then I could just make a replacement waist.

I dunno how easy that'd be. For one thing, it's a pretty shitty part to break at, lots of pressure on it while he moves. Plus I dunno how easy it'd be to get out. Although if anyone could do it, it'd be you.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Well I already have a mold for Breakdown's head. We're waiting to receive more plastic in the mail so we can try the mold to see if it works. My friend and I are also going to try to make molds for other parts to do an entire Red Alert to G1 colored Breakdown conversion kit so that you can swap out the part with Red Alert. I'll see how that goes. It might suck. The molds we had before were epic failures and we don't want a repeat of that.
