TF Hall of Fame 2011 - Vote Now!

Post by JediTricks »

For the second year in a row, we here at TFV have been invited to participate in Hasbro's Transformers Hall of Fame program. As with last year, we'll be submitting a top 5 list that we'd like to see included in Hasbro's upcoming Transformers Hall of Fame, that list will be mixed with the other participating fan sites' lists and final judging will be made from those selections.

This year's deadline is April 6th, but because I have multiple important real life things going on that day, means April 5th for us.

Hasbro has already determined the first 3 characters in 2011's Hall of Fame: IRONHIDE, RATCHET and SOUNDWAVE - we will help decide the 4th character. (Keep in mind the 2010 Hall of Fame winners - Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Beast Wars' Dinobot - since obviously they won't be eligible either.)

For us, voting will be easy. I will do all the tallying, so all you have to do is:
Reply below with a RANKED list of your top 5 (FIVE) choices for Hall of Fame inclusion.
Number 1 must be your TOP choice, number 2 your second choice, and so on.

If you'd like to discuss your votes, we have also have a discussion thread about this poll roaring right now so come join the fun in there!

Vote now, and thanks for participating!

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Here are my votes:
 1. Mirage
 2. Wheeljack
 3. Grimlock
 4. Jazz
 5. Brawn
Here's how you make an ordered list if you are too lazy (like me) to just write the numbers in the front of your entries (type your entries after the asterisk brackets):

Code: Select all

(My votes are nearly unchanged from last year.)

I might have to edit this later, but here goes....
 1. Jazz
 2. Shockwave
 3. Mirage
 4. Thundercracker
 5. Lockdown
Proposal, I vote that we all try to agree to support one character in order to prevent a repeat of last year's disaster.

If anybody thinks Hotshot, Barricade or Lockdown might win, I would be on board for that.

You guys, you can't nominate Soundwave, he's already on Hasbro's list.

BWprowl, I'll ask them if Sari can be included and get back to you. EDIT: took all of 2 minutes for them to get back to me, "Good question - robots only!" So there you have it.

Dom, I'll discuss your idea in the discussion thread in a minute.

I'm a bit mystified by their phrasing. Is Hasbro trying to screw with me, or do they just know fuck-all about their own fiction? Anyway, she's in.

Sorry about Soundwave, don't know how I missed that. Amended list:

1. Barricade (Come on, let's try to not oversaturate things with G1)
2. Grimlock
3. Kup
4. Optimus Primal
5. Sari

Ahahahaha oh God that is the least appropriate answer to that question ever.

1. Barricade
2. Jazz
3. Grimlock
4. Thundercracker
5. Prowl

So how's this work, again? Does my Barricade vote mean he gets more "votes" than Jazz? But since Jazz is second for me, Jazz could still win for "our forum?" Or what?

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
