Ultimate Prime toy revealed; spoilers, it sucks.

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

If Hasbro made a Classics Arcee, I wouldn't buy it.

Arcee sucks. Especially car Arcee. Then she's just a pink, girly Blurr.

I think all of us hoped for that. But I think this is Hasbro's thing, fans want combiners they come up with PPC I really don't see the point of drones, fans want a Classics Arcee they come up with TF Prime Arcee (although that toy looks cool but still is not Classics Arcee).
Yeah, after going back over pics of the box and all that, it looks like I've been hitting the crackpipe again, there's no base mode or anything, it's just trailer/horrible armor. Suddenly Prime giving Jetfire's dead ass a piggyback ride seems a lot cooler.

As for the PCCs/combiner thing, I can kind of see what they were going for, there. A combiner would be just hellaciously expensive these days, adult fans would buy 'em, but if you figure four Scouts for the limbs, that's damn near forty bucks before you even get to the body component. So they tried a different tactic, which, sadly, didn't work out so well. Still, really enjoyable toys.

I could totally get behind Classics Arcee, too, but till then, Animated Arcee'll do in a pinch.

Well, yeah. Or pink, girly Springer or whatever. Kind of the point. Functional character, maybe not so much, but visually kind of awesome? Yeah, she's got that down. G1 Arcee's got one advantage over "Prime" Arcee, anyway: She's on a way less sucky show. That isn't saying much, but still.

I did always like Arcee's shoulderthings, assuming they become the bits over her front wheels. So the headlights are on top in robot mode. Also.. thinking logically, her rear wheels must fold into the backs of her legs, which is cool.

At first I wasn't a fan of the DOTM/TF3 Ultimate optimus prime toy. but the more i see it the more i like it.

at any rate minus the trailer the regular robot mode looks decent.

I kinda like how the trailer forms armor pieces for the arms, legs & core part of optimus primes body. I'm still not a fan of the huge X shaped butterfly wings on the back..

I'm just wondering what this 22 inch description in super robot mode means. is hasbro counting the upward extended trailer wings in the combined robot mode?? if they are that's just a weird way for a toy company to measure a toy. I personally always measure my TF toys from head to toe.

It makes perfect sense for Hasbro to use the larger credible number. They want to play up how huge and fun the toy is.

It also makes sense from a distplay perspective. Your shelves have to be able to accomodate those wings.

It looks like the wings can be moved down, though.

That's exactly what I'm doing.

Now does anyone know what's the use of those wings besides making Prime look like he was doing the casting for the Wasp for the Avengers film?

They...let him fly? I dunno, I actually kind of like the look, in a goofy, different sort of way.

Stupid question that everyone probably already knows the answer to already: Is this Super Mode actually appearing in the film?

Stupid answer that's pretty much uninformed: Probably? They've got the trailer in the movie, I assume it'd do something other than be a trailer.

As for what the wings do, I thought "Well, fly" at first, but then I realized, "Wait, it's movie Autobots". So now I figure they're razor-edged wings of death that dismember his enemies.

Did none of you watch the Superbowl trailer? He's got them on in the last bit. (And you can see him just kind of flomp them onto the ground not unlike Jetfire's parts in ROTF. God damn do I hate this about the films--nothing stays intact for more than two seconds without blowing up or falling apart.)
