Ultimate Prime toy revealed; spoilers, it sucks.

You know it's frustrating that one wants Prime with an official trailer and they come up with this armor crap thing instead of a trailer command center or battle station. And to make it worst because of that it might not have good sales blowing the chances of Hasbro doing a proper trailer on account of "bad sales".

Sales will not be an issue. This is an Optimus Prime figure that is branded with what is likely to be one of the top 5 movies of the year.

The movies have not hurt sales on the franchise at all.

I thought this thing had a "battle station" mode, no?

Either way, I generally like trailers that turn into armor or combine for a super robot or whatnot, but this...this just doesn't look good.

It might, but if it does, we haven't heard about it or seen it yet. And judging from the super mode, it'll probably just be like ArPrime's cruddy base mode.

I think ArPrime's base mode looked better than the "pants" mode.

Sadly, true.

I think all of us hoped for that. But I think this is Hasbro's thing, fans want combiners they come up with PPC I really don't see the point of drones, fans want a Classics Arcee they come up with TF Prime Arcee (although that toy looks cool but still is not Classics Arcee).

PCC gets a bad rap. It was a fun little line. Truth be told, I would almost rather have more PCC than RTS.


As far as the movie and Prime toys are concerned, Hasbro is going to make toys that have media support. And, it has been proven time and again that Hasbro can get away with half-assing certain items because enough people will just buy them.
