Thundercracker!

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

I was under the impression that Generations would continue for Classics style deluxes while RTS would be for Classics style figures of other sizes (Utlra, voyager basics). That makes Jazz and Tracks a bit of an anomoly.

And yes, Elias failing epically is hilarious. Take that ya stinjy scalp happy greed monger!

This bio doesn't seem to fit with Bombshell so I can only assume it implies Skywarp.
Eh, it's ambiguous. Hence Rodimus's "I don't even know who you used to be and I DON'T CARE" line. Did like the shout-out to the missing Armada though.

Nah, cuz we've got stuff like G2 Prime and Wreck-Gar in the next wave.

The way I heard it, Hasbro just wanted to throw out as much Generations product as possible (since it's not like it's popular or anything), so they moved several of the molds over into what used to be the Movie mainline so they could have multiple waves of this stuff coming out *simultaneously*. I'm not really complaining.

Does mean that we're going to have Generations-style toys released at the same time half-sporting rubsigns and half-not, which I imagine is going to piss some people off.

So can we add Elias Weskerson to the Year in Review as 'Epicest Failure of 2010'?

See that's what was on screen and what I've always gone with and that's why the comments in the comic don't really make sense.

That wouldn't bother me in the least. I'd rather have the awesome new toys with mixed rub/non rubsigns than a lack of new toys.

Yes, I believe that's right, the Wheeljack photography doesn't show a rubsign. All very VERY confusing. My only concern is that Hasbro is going to piss off their retailers who are always struggling to justify any line's presence on pegs, much less 2 separate lines where products are shared between.

BTW, to me, Cyclonus will always be the bot who was reformatted into Snowcat. ;)

Actually, the crossover presence might even be the retailers. They might think "Oh, yellow-box is the Movie Line which sells like hookers in a virgin factory, give us more of that," and Hasbro's all, "Well, here's some toys! They're in movie packaging!" and Wal-Mart's all "Fuck it that'll work!"

Remember those Cybertron repaints in Movie packaging, even though they were planned for Universe? Yeah, exactly.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Those UT recolors make me crazy. Are they movie or not? The packages say "movie", but the toys say "not movie".

The problem is that so many toys are coming out on top of each other. Even if I was not buying multiples of some toys, the sheer number of toys would be taxing.

The animation is ambiguous. The animation tilts a bit towards Bombshell being Cyclonus. The 3H comics are explicit on this point. Of course, the Insecticons all show up at various points *after* everybody gets rebuilt.

If I had to pick one, I would say it was Bombshell. But, I tend to go with the original Marvel adaptation which assumes a bunch of random guys got tossed into space and rebuilt.

Yeah, well, if we're gonna go with 3H comics, we may as well take into account Dreamwave's version of things while we're at it.

Eh, I don't really care who turned into Cyclonus. The animation's got Skywarp and Bombshell getting Cyked out, so you could go either way. It makes sense that the guy in the foreground would be the real Cyclonus, but, and it might just be to me here, it's cooler if both the other Decepticon jets get remade into...well, the new Decepticon jets. Of course, Cyclonus never acts like either of those guys, so it doesn't matter much. Ultimately, I go Skywarp because I just think it's better. Not a very convincing argument, but I'm not trying to argue the point or convince anyone, either. Just saying how I go in it.

Well of course. I mean, c'mon, we'd all have to be a bunch of Weskersons to get all pissy about a trivial point like that. Just out of curiosity, though, why are you putting spoiler tags on this stuff?

Actually it says in the storyboards that it was Bombshell and very clearly shows it. The animation is almost exactly like the storyboard. As much as my fannish devotion to Skywarp would like to believe otherwise, Bombshell is Cyclonus. And I didn't even know this was a debate until a few weeks ago when it came up on TFW. Someone there actually posted pics of the storyboards to prove it.

And that's a good question, I suppose we don't really need spoiler tags on a movie that 20+ years old.

It's just a stupid habit I picked up from 4chan, where you spoiler something incriminating, embarrassing, or otherwise. Like
Spoiler
I've done a couple times now in reference to my current watching of My Little Pony
. Like I said, it's just a stupid thing.
