The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!
I honestly don't know if I'm buying this one or not. I like Rumble and don't care a whit about Frenzy. But I'm used to Frenzy being like this..if this is Rumble, do I buy this and skip the one that looks like what I think of as "Rumble"?
Hell no, I don't. I skip this, call the other one Rumble, and call it good.

This is curious, since Hasbro has otherwise been staunchly RIRFIB for a while now (see: Alternators and Robot Heroes Rumble). I often wonder why people get so hung up on Rumble being blue when a whopping one of his appearances had it that way and just about everything else was the other way around, but the one time he was blue was the cartoon, and people put a LOT of stock in that one, for whatever reason.
Have we seen the back of this card yet? I'll be infinitely amused if the bio details that Frenzy and Rumble like to periodically repaint themselves in each other's colors just to fuck with everyone.

That would be awesome if they actually put that in their bios to explain the color switching.
Nah, definitely not a big deal, I'll just get Red Frenzy, call it Rumble and be fine with it. It is kind of funny, though, that Hasbro seems to be just screwing with the people who do make a big deal out of the RIR/FIB thing.
RIP/SIG 4 life, though.

Hasbro probably reversed the color schemes because Rumble is blue in War for Cybertron, which is the new canon.
See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?
I like the color switching idea myself. It would make the entire FIBRIR/FIRRIB argument moot. The only reason fans even get hung up on calling Frenzy Rumble to begin with is because it was the only mistake in the cartoon that was consistently wrong.
Eh, I never got that bent out of shape about it. Cartoon Rumble's blue, toy Rumble's red, no problem. What got on my nerves on the cartoon is when they'd both have the pounders. Look, if they're both gonna have the same gimmick going, then why even bother having two of 'em? This would seem to prove that Frenzy is worthless, but I dunno. The sonic death scream or whatever his bio describes could be pretty cool.
