Drift-Chan

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

I hadn't seen the Kratos thing before, but since I just started playing God of War, I can get behind that.

Oh, you don't have to clip it in. It'll actually slide into the storage slot quite easily.

It is less a question of clipping or sliding the sword in than it is what happens once the sword is in place. Keep in mind, the two clip points are not always going to line up perfectly. (Of course, there really is no good way to store that sword short of flattening it out and putting it in the damned fridge.)

The upper clip is on a double-hinge jointed arm so you can align it exactly right, or even use the joint to correct opposite-direction warping.

In the pose I left him 2 months ago, the long sword has warped around his head slightly.

Clips be damned. The sword is a piece of crap.

I dunno, they could mould it in regular hard plastic, couldn't they?

A little nick of silver paint seems to have come off of one of the short swords already, with almost zero play-time on the figure. Bummer.

The only problem I've had is the tips on the small swords got bent out of joint. I think I put 'em in the sheathes the wrong way or something. Since then, he's been posed fighting Bludgeon on top of my TV, and the tips haven't unbent themselves. I'll have to work with 'em some later.

Blurr's rifle will likely be soft plastic as it would otherwise pose the same poking/snaping hazard as the sword would. Still, the figure will be a good base for an Autobot Field Marshal.
