You know something that I'll buy right on sight, without even thinking about it? Conehead Classics Seekers.

I second that!
Re: Hot damn, it's Dirge!
Still no Thundercracker though. And, by the time they come out with Thundercracker, how many people will have to go back and buy that '06 Skywarp?
Way to make it hard Hasbro.

Me, certainly. I never got him to begin with...because he came with Magnus.
Re: Hot damn, it's Dirge!
Well if they ever do release Thundercracker, I'll then look into getting all 6 US seekers. I might now, but only for custom fodder (especially Acid Storm).

Re: Hot damn, it's Dirge!
Of all of 'em that have come out in non-Botcon or Henkei varieties, I've only missed Starscream. So the easiest one to get, basically. I might have to look for a Starscream, I guess.
I would probably still buy a Thundercracker if they made one in Generations, but I doubt I'd like it as much as the one I've already got, so I'm not that worried about it.

Re: Hot damn, it's Dirge!
I've got all the US released seekers. Both versions of Starscream, Skywarp, Ramjet and Acid Storm. I'll be more than happy to add Thrust and Dirge to the set. And I can't see Hasbro releasing everyone except Thundercracker, so I expect he'll turn up eventually.
Makes me glad I never sprung for any of the Botcon or Henkei releases.

Re: Hot damn, it's Dirge!
That is one of us....
the thing is that Hasbro makes it hard, if not impossible to get all 6, or even the first 3, in once consistent scale and aesthetic without importing toys or buying (expensive) exclusive figures. Sometimes, one has to both.
Sparky/O6, help me out here, did they all come out at US retail in PVC form? I know moulding for all 6 exists.
G1: ll of 'em were more or less deluxes. One scale. One aesthetic. The decoys also technically count here.
G2: Starscream and Ramjet only.
Machine Wars: Starscream was huge. Thundercracker and Skywarp were small. This might, if we are being generous count as the first 3.
Armada: We did get the basic 3. But, Skywarp is not similar to G1 Skywarp if one reads the tech specs, having a differen personality and power set. Thrust is not really G1 Thrust. There is simply no Dirge. And, we only get a Ramjet if on counts "Universe" Ramjet, which was part of a different line. (Even if one allows fan-fic, which one should not do, this does not count as a complete set.)
Cybertron: We did get the basic three, if one allows for a watered down Thundercracker. (Mind you this Thundercracker contradicts "Armada" Thundercracker. But, that is a different set of questions.) Thrust and Ramjet, along with yet another UT Skywarp were released in the legends scale. (Yes, there are 3 UT Skywarps. I am content to assume they are all different guys, and the "Cybertron" character is idiomatically G1.)
Movie: 2 scales. The types of planes do not bother me. But, the scaling does. (Dirge and Thrust are far too small.) (The characters seem to be idiomatically G1, for what that is worth.)
Animated: Even if one accepts the figures released across 2 or 3 different scales, it is impossible to get all of the Starscream clones. And, the toys do not include the helmets from the cartoon.
TFU/Classics/Henkei: It gets messy here.
Starscream and Ramjet at mass retail, in new color schemes. I have nothing against the new color schemes in and of themselves. In fact, I kind of regret painting over my "Classics" Starscream for a custom. But, the problems come up when comparing them to later figures. Skywarp is in "close enough to G1" colors to not look right near Starscream and Ramjet. Then, the only way to get Thundercracker, Thrust and Ramjet was in that idiotic boxed set. Thundercracker and Thrust were G1 colors. Dirge was "wrong" all around. He had G1 colors....but incorrectly molded wings.
Then, Takara made a "close-enough" Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker. Of course (This is the set I have, alongside a Henkei Ramjet.) But, then Takara turns around and makes Thrust and Dirge not only as exclusives...but gives them different color schemes. To add insult to injury, this Dirge has G1 style moulding on the wings.......
Again, I am not against change. In fact, i rather like the new wing patterns. But, I want to be able to get the damned jets in one friggin' aesthetic! Is that too much to ask!?!?????? I would be perfectly happy getting all 6 with paint jobs like the ones used on Starscream and Ramjet in the US back in '06.
Do you hear me griping about my "Classics" Mirage because that toy is not exactly G1? No. Do you hear me complaining about TFU Sunstreaker? (Well, yes, you might. But, the complaints are of the "I need another one for customizing" or "nobody else seems to love this mould as much as I do" variety.)
At this point, American collectors still have to order at least one Japanese figure that is exclusive in Japan. And, Japanese collectors have to order at least 2 exclusives, (or an import in the case of Skywarp), and then import Thrust and Dirge. For collectors with any sort of budget, this makes the hobby more of a job.
So, yeah, I can totally see Hasbro not releasing Thundercracker....just to screw us.

Re: Hot damn, it's Dirge!
Releasing Thundercracker will make Hasbro money, so he'll be out at retail sooner or later.
None of the Classics/Universe seekers were tough to obtain. I just bought them when they first appeared at retail, or within a few weeks. Starscream, Ramjet, then Skywarp as part of the box set with Magnus, then Acid Storm and the repaint Starscream as part of Universe. It helps that I was pretty much exclusively collecting Universe as opposed to Animated or the movie line, so I wasn't splitting hobby funds among 3 lines. And the price of the Botcon set and Henkei kept me away from them, or otherwise I'd have bought those versions.

The longer they wait, the less credit it will be worth though. They might wait until after the next "upgrade" to release him, meaning that the set will be inconsistent/incomplete.Releasing Thundercracker will make Hasbro money, so he'll be out at retail sooner or later.
The TFU/Classics figures were easy enough. But, they made an incomplete set.
