Explain your Signature

Post by JediTricks »

This thread is for you to justify the crap in your signature.

I'll start with the crap currently in mine:
StarWars: Lobots In Disguise
This is a phrase I came up with when I joined BWTF's forums, actually. I wanted it to be clear that I liked Star Wars and Transformers, and I needed something that made me chuckle and had TF throwback quality.
Dear Unicron, please have your elves make me a badly-written deus ex machina, and please bring me several reformatted characters that are poorly realized and badly designed. As usual, I've left you cookies and milk on the planet you're currently eating.
This is my "Dear Santa" note to Unicron. Any time you have the big guy in a TF story, those are the things that end up happening.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Awww....surely you don't mean that Scourge is badly designed...? A space hovercraft with pink claws and a rad mustache?

Anyhow, I reckon my current signature's kinda self-explanatory. So I'll explain it. Animated Ironhide's super-power strikes me as a lil' goofy. And I amuse myself to no end.

Mine's just one of the most recent in my ongoing series of sigpics. They usually have pictures of Onslaught rather than Barricade, mind. Recurring elements include the blue/green colours, the Transtech Decepticon symbol, the D-64 designation, the rank of Combatron, and the year the sig is for. So, er, I need a new one.

Just realised the rest of my sig wasn't in there, but with the huge pic, doesn't really need to be..

Normally there'd be a link to the Blog of Inanity, perhaps TFNZ, and the "Please wind my cord when I'm not in use" blurb, which was from a manual and oddly poetic.

Well, for a good couple of weeks there, I somehow managed to completely mix up Brawn and Gears' names. I even made a reference to Gears getting shot in the shoulder in TFTM. This stems from that, and the fact that Brawn and Gears aren't exceptionally noteable in general.

The rest is just a standard by-line about my Blog. The Froot bit refers to a bit 86 says, about how I apparently should Eet Mor Froot, because my diet sucks. The Blog occasionally talks about all those things it lists, so yeah, go check it out if you haven't. Guaranteed to be less inane than 86's Blog Of Inanity or your ten minutes back!

Also in the past, I'd have something funny that 86 said when taken out of context, and then also a general quote about TF that I've said. Some of these include:

"I'm still waiting for five IDW Decepticons to disappear and five Armada characters to appear in their place."
"I wanna throw Leonard Nimoy into a lava pit and see if an insane Frank Welker comes out."

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

The actual quote is something I came up with a few years ago, largly because I was sick of being praised for middling skills. (For example, I am consistently praised for my "fast" typing, when I can only manage 30 words a minute. My secret? I can actually type, not just hen-peck as most people do. But, I know of offices around here that would fire someone for typing with my speed.) It links to my blog.

The comic store is a the place I get my comics.

And, the animal page is a free way to help animals. I try to click there at least a few times a day. It is there for my convenience as much as anyone else's.

Of course not, whatever was I thinking? "Space hovercraft" - of course. Perfectly reasonable. "Hover" "Space" "Pink Nails" "Wedge-shaped nothingmobile" - A to B to C to D.

Mine's been explained a couple of times recently, already, but I will note that it's somewhat lucky(?) that I still have it, since it was saved on my old laptop. Y'know, the one that got stolen? Fortunately, it was still uploaded to photobucket, for all the internet to bask in! There's also been a few variations on this particular GIF before I arrived at the current version (Misha, Clone Hug, Sally). I've included the original Perverted Sigpic (The pic of Sakura from Blue Seed), a couple KonoSetsu shots from Negima, and a pic of Masterpiece Prime opening his Matrix compartment to reveal a Strawberry Marshmallow Matsuri PVC figure. Fun stuff?

I'll be keeping this one around for a while. Or until I manage to think of something better. Also been thinking of putting a link to Weekend Update (My thing that's kinda-sorta like a webcomic), but can't think of anyone who'd be in the target audience (CrossRook? Gomess?).

It beats the hell out of your old "Tai in the tub with TFs" pic.

Most likely, yes.

My sig is a shoop da whoop until something more permanent materializes...

VHS. It had the cutest drawings of a happy video player with its cord wound, and a sad one being touched when it was hot.
