Man, I suppose it'd be too much to ask for the game to be a cross-over between the current comics Spider-Man, the 90's cartoon Spider-Man, and the Movie Spider-Man? This sort of meta-mashup is the kind of character crossover I could get behind.

Anyway, am I the only one finding the gameplay footage in that trailer...a bit underwhelming? It just looks...I dunno, unpolished. Maybe it's get better as development goes on though, who know.

For any other fans of the Pokemon games, Generation V of the Pokemon franchise has recently been revealed to be named "Pokemon: Black" and "Pokemon: White" for the Nintendo DS. Like every other Generation, it will feature new Pokemon for players to capture. It's still very early so nothing much is known about these games yet, but there are a few early screenshots online showing it'll have more 3D graphics than previous games.

Oh cool, I was kinda hoping they would make more of a jump to 3D with these ones. I was also hypothesizing that they'd be called "Light Version" and "Dark Version" so I guess I was kinda close. I'm not too excited by the two new Pokemon they've revealed (Zorua and Zoroark), since they're pretty generic looking, and I'm not too fond of the Dark type in general. Should still be cool though. I'm loving the hell outta SoulSilver version. They've streamlined this down to near-perfection.

Stille need over half the Kanto badges.

Well, White and Black are the Japanese names. Nothing on the US ones yet.

Also, this:

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

And when has the Japanese titles of the games ever been different than the US titles?

Sure, there was the Green version that essentially was the US Blue version, but the US Red/Blue games featured graphics from the Japanese mail-order only Blue version rather than the original Japanese Red/Green versions, so that was kind of a special circumstance. But otherwise, they've always had the same titles.

I got the HeartGold version myself. Great update to the original games. I've only got two more Kanto badges left to get.

When they couldn't be misconstrued as racial. I'm not saying they 'will' change it, the track record makes me doubt it--but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

This does bring up the interesting question of what the 'third version' will be. Grey? Brown?

That is absolutely ridiculous. These are just video game titles based on the colors Black and White. There is nothing racial about it, and no reason for it to be misconstrued as such.

I'm not the only one thinking it, so it's not as ridiculous as you might think.
