Unfortunately, it's at the "Razzies".
ROTF won for "Worst Picture", Michael Bay for "Worst Director", and Kruger, Orci, and Kurtzman for "Worst Screenplay".
The good news? They couldn't beat out "Battlefield: Earth" for worst movie of the decade, so that's something. Congratulations to all the winners!

Fantastic, I was coming over here to post just that!
Couldn't have happened to a more-deserving film.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Agreed! Hopefully Hasbro are taking this sort of thing on board, I'm sure Bay just laps up the publicity either way.JediTricks wrote:Fantastic, I was coming over here to post just that!Couldn't have happened to a more-deserving film.

The movie deserved it. How hard is it to mess up a movie about giant alien robots fighting? And yet Bay, Orci and Kurtzman managed to do just that.

It was all Bay's fault, mind. I mean, Orci and Kurtzman may not be the best writers in Hollywood--but they did well enough with the first film, and I heard lots of good stuff about Star Trek despite not seeing it. They also basically wrote a rough draft, and then handed it off to Bay who went "Awesome, but let's add some handicapped gangsta bots and put even less character development in!"
It happens. Sometimes the fiction sucks. The only thing is, usually when it sucks, it just gets ignored.

Yeah, they work on "Fringe", too, which is a pretty decently entertaining kind of thing. Pretty much the only thing their names have been on that I haven't enjoyed has been ROTF.Onslaught Six wrote: Orci and Kurtzman may not be the best writers in Hollywood--but they did well enough with the first film, and I heard lots of good stuff about Star Trek despite not seeing it.
Even by "Summer Popcorn Blockbuster" standards, that thing was horrible.

With ROTF, I liked the first part of the movie (minus the Twins, Alice and Sam's mom... and the college stuff) and the last half hour. It's the middle half of the movie that was pretty bad.138 Scourge wrote:Yeah, they work on "Fringe", too, which is a pretty decently entertaining kind of thing.
