The eagle head becomes the robot chest, so if that then becomes the head, what do they do for the chest? Leave it empty? Have some sort of third party style add on that fills in that gap? Honestly, I think they did the best they could with what they had. I ain't complaining.

Besides, they basically gave Sideswipe Sunstreaker's alt mode even though they're completely different molds that separate in completely different places.

This is why I said they could have re-engineered the head/chest of the figure... If they were to make the beast mode's head part of the robot's head, then obviously they'd retool the figure's chest as well. But honestly, I think they could have retooled this figure in a number of ways. Like keep the faux head, but find a way to hide the actual beast mode's head in the chest instead. I mean, in the past few years, Hasbro has shown an impressive degree of retooled molds to make figures more distinct from one another. Take Titans Return Broadside for an example, which was an extensive retool of Alpha Trion. You almost wouldn't know they were based on the same mold with the amount of retooling they did. Not that I think they'd need to go that far with Skywarp... But it's just odd, and frankly, a little disappointing to me to see they kinda half-assed the job with Skywarp, leaving two eagle heads visible in robot mode when the figure should only have one.

I'm not following your meaning here...

That, and I think Hasbro may have wanted to avoid calling this figure Silverbolt because of the Fuzor character.
I hope this means we're getting a new BW Silverbolt figure.

I see your point with Alpha Trion, but I'm not sure that would work with Air Razor/Skywarp. I mean, Alpha Trion and Broadside have completely different alt modes, so it made sense to completely remold them with a lot of retooling. Skywarp has exactly the same alt mode and is a much smaller figure. I mean, I guess at the end of the day, if you don't like it, that's fine, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. It just doesn't bother me and I don't see what they could have done different.

On the other hand...

Well, again we're looking at the chest. The hood of the car is the same on both figures, but is a solid piece for the chest on Sideswipe, but separates to become the feet for Sunstreaker.

I think they're sticking to season 1 of Beast Wars for Kingdom. With a few exceptions, like Skywarp and Transmutate using molds from this line. But I would love to see a new Silverbolt.

I don't see that being a smaller figure or keeping the alt mode virtually unchanged should make a difference. I just cited Broadside/Alpha Trion to show how Hasbro is capable of altering a mold, to the point they could practically change the whole figure. There's plenty of other figures they've made various degrees of retooling on, and it's not always so drastic. Airazor/Skywarp would be an easy alteration. Like I said, they wouldn't need to make drastic changes, just retool the beast mode head and the chest of the figure.

I still don't see what your point here is. So what if Sunstreak and Sideswipe had two different molds? What's that got to do with Airazor and Skywarp sharing a mold in the Kingdom line?

If that's the case I guess I get to keep more of my money.

But I would buy the shit, the SHIT, out of a Silverbolt, Quicksilver, and Rampage.

If you're listening, Hasbro.

I mean, I guess if the beast head is going to somehow turn into the robot head, then the piece that would normally be the robot head could just be the chest. Whatever. It's fine the way it is. Again, I don't see a problem with it.

As for the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker bit, originally I was making a separate point, then I called myself out on saying that Skywarp/Air Razor couldn't really be remolded in a way that would work with the engineering while simultaneously praising the fact that they did exactly that with Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. I mean the car hood alone is exactly the same on both cars, but are feet on one that separate while being a single piece chest on the other. I mean, come on, if they could figure THAT out, then, that pretty much proves your Skywarp point.

To each their own, I'm just saying they could have made it better.

Possible first look at TFK Waspinator:
https://news.tfw2005.com/2021/06/10/kin ... led-435262

Nothing too shocking about it, seems like the real mccoy. Someone didn't transform the chest fully as there's no separation, yet you can see the line where it should, so I'm guessing it will. Having a robot chest that's not so large the figure can't see over it is an improvement over the T30 figure.

Weird, I didn't notice until you said that Sideswipe isn't a repaint of Sunstreaker. I'm not used to Hasbro not being lazy.

From the photos, I actually like the T30 Waspinator a bit better.

But, BUT... I like the Wasp mode on this one better, and I desperately hope they upscale it and retool it into BW Inferno.
