Ta for the input, (o/O)nslaughts. All of the packaging *suggests* its the base of his cannon that's the cockpit, and that's how I've got him, looking sorta swing-wing. It seems fine, many famous TFs have gone for the inverted wings, G1 Cyclonus for example. But packaging can be wrong! So wrong! And breakdowns in communication are kinda rife in the toy biz.
I am getting attached to the guy, nice looking toy, but I just wish he really *really* turned into something definite. Maybe flashbacks in future Animated eps will reveal the true location of pre-Earth Megs' elusive cockpit.

Well, there's what the package says and all, but if he's turned around so that the pointy kneepad deal's in front, his vehicle mode essentially a big flying cannon. So, that's what I figure it is.
Doesn't he use his vehicle mode in the first episode?

Yes.
And really doesn't look anything like the two figures he has dedicated to that five seconds of airtime.

Indeed. The cannon pointing forward makes sense, and the nosewheel is on the kneepad end. This is definitely one of the least convincing Cybertronian modes we've ever had.

I like how absolutely arbitrary it is. "I'm clearly not a robot, so I MUST be an alien vehicle! Take that!"
